SWECO VIAK AB, 2000. Well Construction, Results of control and documentation, Consultancy report in Swedish, Sweco Viak AB Malmo, 2000-06-21, Commission Number 1340.174.300. [Pg.238]

To compile the definitions, a number of sources have been used. A number of the definitions were adapted from an International Organization for Standardization (ISO) manuscript on Plastics Vocabulary [1]. Where possible, the names for properties, their definitions and the symbols for linear viscoelastic properties were checked against past compilations of terminology [2-6]. Other documents consulted include ASTM publications [7-13]. [Pg.146]

To keep the plant up-to-date through inspections, documentation, consulting, and defining remedial measures. [Pg.681]

The use of consultants is now widespread both in private industry and in public bodies. Consultants are typically used to assess some aspect of an organization and to make proposals for improvements. The end product of a consultancy project is therefore usually a report or other document. Consultancy projects are usually undertaken for a fixed price but the form of contract is very much simpler than the fixed price contracts so far described. [Pg.113]

These administrative techniques rely on documentation, consultation and meetings for their successful implementation. [Pg.221]

The best way to determine whether an equipment using RS-232 ports is configured to emulate DTE- or DCE-provided signals, is to review the device documents. Consult the user s manual for this Information. If documentation is not available, a break-out box may be used to determine which leads are provided by a device. For specifications of a break-out box, see Chapter 3, Section 3.2.17. [Pg.215]

The conversion of acetylenes into acetyl ides, M-C=C-R (M = Li, Na, K, MgBr), by means of alkyllithium or Grignard reagents in organic solvents or by alkali metal amides in liquid ammonia is well documented (for practical examples see ref. 1, for review articles consult inter alia refs. 2-5). [Pg.7]

It is imperative that extensive documentation be kept of any treatment, including photographs duriag all stages of the work. This documentation should then be stored to be available for consultation ia the future, whea a reaewed coaservatioa assessmeat of the object may be aecessary. [Pg.424]

Documentation abstracts, useful as they are, may also prove inadequate for final decisions, which would make it necessary for the searcher to obtain and examine copies of full patent specifications. Although the increasing availabihty of sets of full specifications on CD-ROM at modest cost is making it easier for searchers to have in their collections copies of those specifications they might need to consult, the necessity to go beyond computer output, whether to abstracts or full specifications, is stiU one of the bottlenecks of computer searching, and therefore an area in which significant new developments are hoped for. [Pg.57]

In addition, the DoE proposed EQSs in a 1991 consultation document for those pesticides on the Red List (the UK s original priority hazardous substances list). Although non-statutory, the Government is committed to the reduction of Red List Substances discharging to the North Sea and the NRA uses the standards to assess the effects of these substances on the environment and to derive consents for point source discharges of these compounds. Failures for agricultural pesticides are rare. [Pg.53]

You should consider obtaining internal and external quality assurance reviews of the study (to ferret out errors in modeling, data, etc.). Independent peer reviews of the QRA results can be helpful by presenting alternate viewpoints, and you should include outside experts (either consultants or personnel from another plant) on the QRA review panel. You should also set up a mechanism wherein disputes between QRA team members (e.g., technical arguments about safety issues) can be voiced and reconciled. All of these factors play an essential role in producing a defendable, high-quality QRA. Once the QRA is complete, you must formally document your response to the project team s final report and any recommendations it contains. [Pg.28]

It is essential to consult the specific BEI documentation before designing biological monitoring protocols and interpreting BEIs. [Pg.89]

Consult the complete body of the document for complete information. [Pg.146]

Instructions concerning safety and environmental issues should be integrated into the control and operating procedures such that the instructions are given at the stage in the process when they apply. In this way staff do not have to consult several documents and the chance of error is reduced. [Pg.150]

An auditor would expect to find staff consulting the rework instructions when carrying out rework. However, information in documents can be memorized or become habit through familiarity with the process. Rework instructions are often unique to the nonconformity and therefore personnel cannot rely on prior knowledge. This is addressed as a supplementary requirement in clause 4.14.3. [Pg.443]

The individual responsible for completing the data input forms needs formalized training in data collection procedures, with written instructions on form completion, on data handling, and on documentation procedures. Other material needed to encode raw data properly must be available. In addition, these individuals need access to a consultant within the organization to help resolve questions that may arise. [Pg.216]

It might be assumed that if an examination of the plant layout is being carried out, the future plans, as they affect the site layout, will be known. This is not always the case therefore, management should be questioned at the beginning of the project. Particular attention should be paid to hazardous substances that may be used on the site, and the health and safety document should be consulted. [Pg.69]

If the potential suppliers cannot provide documented service performance for similar plant on similar duties, materials suppliers should be consulted. [Pg.897]

BS 6374 Part 5 1985 gives full details of design and fabrication requirements and it is advisable to consult this document as well as the lining contractor prior to arriving at the final design. [Pg.946]

Temperatures on ITS-90, as on earlier scales, are defined in terms of fixed points, interpolating instruments, and equations that relate the measured property of the instrument to temperature. The report on ITS-90 of the Consultative Committee on Thermometry is published in Metrologia and in the Journal of Research of the National Institute of Standards and Technology The description that follows is extracted from those publications.3 Two additional documents by CCT further describe ITS-90 Supplementary Information for the ITS-90, and Techniques for Approximating the ITS-90.4... [Pg.618]

These Recommendations expand and replace the Tentative Rules for Carbohydrate Nomenclature [1] issued in 1969 jointly by the IUPAC Commission on the Nomenclature of Organic Chemistry and the IUB-IUPAC Commission on Biochemical Nomenclature (CBN) and reprinted in [2]. They also replace other published JCBN Recommendations [3-7] that deal with specialized areas of carbohydrate terminology however, these documents can be consulted for further examples. Of relevance to the field, though not incorporated into the present document, are the following recommendations ... [Pg.47]
