Reports design

Validation of the installation of gas protection measures is arguably the most important aspect of the design and construction process. This should form part of an overall verification process that includes a design report. [Pg.170]

The first stage of the QA programme should be the design report. All gas protection designs should be accompanied by a design report that sets out the justification for the parameters used, demonstrates the conceptual model and includes the risk assessment basis on which the protection measures have been designed. The report should include a checklist such as the one in Appendix B to confirm that all the necessary aspects have been covered and the data provided. This will make it easier for regulators to quickly assess schemes. [Pg.170]

The design report should also be provided to site managers so that they know why the protection measures are being installed and what is required. [Pg.170]

The key determinants of future cost competitiveness of a-Si H PV technology are a-Si H deposition rates, module production yields, stabilized module efficiencies, production volume, and module design. Reported a-Si H deposition rates vary by more than a factor of 10, but most researchers report that the high quaUty films necessary for high stabilized efficiencies require low deposition rates often due to high hydrogen dhution of the Si (and Ge) source gases (see Semiconductors, amorphous). [Pg.472]

Velocity seals are more recent developments in air seal design. They use conical baffles to redirect and focus the purge gas flow field just below the flare tip to sweep air from the flare stack. Some velocity seal designs can reduce the purge gas flow rate requirement to about 1/10 of the rate needed without the seal. Also, some velocity seal designs reportedly require only about 25 to 33 percent of the purge gas used in diffusion seals (AICliE-CCPS, 1998). More details about air (purge reduction) seals may be found in API RP 521 (2007). [Pg.91]

A number of designs of transmission in situ XAS cells have been published for the study of bound catalyst electrodes. These cells all utilize a thin-layer geometry to minimize the contribution to the absorbance by electrolyte solution. The cell design reported by McBreen and co-workers shown in Figure 9 uses three layers of filter paper soaked in the electrolyte as a separator, or later a Nafion membrane between the working electrode and a Grafoil counter electrode. Bubbles in the electrolyte, that would result in noise in the XAS data, are... [Pg.379]

Plenio and Diodone have also reported fluorocrown ethers (Table 5), which exhibit chemical shift response upon binding Ca + [314]. Of course, calcium could potentially be analyzed directly by " Ca NMR, however, its natural abundance is <0.2%, its sensitivity is <1% that of H, and being quadrupolar, it is liable to extensive line broadening [59]. Thus, the application of F NMR with appropriately designed reporter molecules gives insight into cytosolic [Ca +]. [Pg.240]

The Parlies to ITER have now assessed the details, and it is expected that an optimised design will be approved in mid-2000. This should allow the Final Design Report of ITER-FEAT to be completed by mid-2001 as originally planned. [Pg.699]
