At the time of a computer mn of a simulation, it is desirable to store only the parameters for those particular components involved in the simulation, and so this set of basic data is normally copied over from the permanent system parameters data bank into mn-time data locations. In typical flow-sheeting problems this involves the collection of particular parameters for 5 to 20 components from a data bank with extensive sets of data for up to several thousand components. [Pg.76]

Most of the data located concerning the health effects of heptachlor and heptachlor epoxide in humans come from case reports and occupational epidemiology studies of workers engaged either in the manufacture or application of pesticides. There are no data that indicate that heptachlor or heptachlor epoxide are carcinogenic to humans. Data in animals are limited to a study in which no irritation was observed in the skin of guinea pigs after application of a formulation containing 0.5% 1,3-DNB (w/w) for 4 hours (Ishihara and Ikeda 1979). Having collected optimal quality data, first-rate data management is also critical. Many data that are collected can now be fed directly from the measuring instrument to computer databases, thereby avoiding the potential of human data entry error. The double-entry method requires that each data set be entered twice (usually by two operators) and these entries compared by a computer for any discrepancies. The existing database on tetryl is quite limited. The Gran plot is an alternative method for locating the end point in a titration.
