Contracts determination procedures

Guidelines for acceptability of NADA and non-NADA methods are the same. For the determinative procedure, the criteria described in Method Criteria for accuracy and precision are used to evaluate data generated at participating laboratories. There are no criteria for accuracy in the analysis of the incurred residue samples however, the overall data set is reviewed to see if there is general agreement between results obtained by contract laboratories and relative to the levels reported in the sponsor s laboratory. [Pg.93]

Pressure design of straight-threaded joints shall be based on calculations consistent with design requirements of this Code. These calculations shall be substantiated by testing in accordance with to-be-determined procedures and protocols. The testing shall consider such factors as assembly and disassembly, cyclic loading, vibration, shock, hydrogen embrittlement, thermal expansion and contraction, and other factors to be determined. [Pg.106]

The meaning of availability will be ditl erent for each S T capability. Considerations for intellectual property rights are important in making this determination. Procedural barriers, such as contracting, should be considered in the short term, but care must be taken not to ascribe all problems to procedural barriers to avoid finding a solution. [Pg.56]

To test our hypothesis we used a non-hierarchical cluster procedure, which mostly includes partitioning methods that create disjunctive clusters. Initial clusters were made by giving the number of the future groups, which was based on the hierarchical cluster method described above. We then tested our hypotheses concerning the number of clusters (Hypothesis I) and the role of employed variables (concerning specific investments, bargaining power and contract determination. Hypothesis II). [Pg.71]

Ensuring that the policy is relevant to the expectations and needs of the organization s customers is a little more difficult. Companies need to predict what their customer expectations and needs are (now a requirement in clause 4.1.4 under Business plans). They may be beyond what they specify in contracts although they may in fact be identical to such specifications. For companies to create satisfied customers they not only need to meet requirements specified by the customer but meet national and international legislation and have consideration for the needs and expectations of society. As explained in Part 1 Chapter 1 on Quality characteristics, customers are not only the buyers but comprise several other interested parties. You need to provide a means of determining what the customer expectations and needs are and then subject the written quality policy to a review against those expectations and needs to determine if there is any conflict. As part of your business planning procedure you should indicate how you determine your customer s current and future needs and expectations. [Pg.98]

Contract review is but one of the tasks in the contract acquisition process. These are marketing, prospect acquisition, tendering, contract negotiation, contract award, and then contract review. However, in a sales situation, you may simply have a catalog of products and services and a sales office taking orders over the telephone or over the counter. The contract review element of this operation takes a few seconds while you determine if you can supply the item requested. In an organization that produces products to specific customer requirements you may in fact carry out all the tasks in the contract acquisition process. Rather than isolate the contract review task and produce a procedure for this, your business may benefit more from a procedure or series of procedures that covers the contract acquisition process as a whole. [Pg.223]

Consider now making the variational coefficients in front of the inner basis functions constant, i.e. they are no longer parameters to be determined by the variational principle. The Is-orbital is thus described by a fixed linear combination of say six basis functions. Similarly the remaining four basis functions may be contracted into only two functions, for example by fixing the coefficient in front of the inner three functions. In doing this the number of basis functions to be handled by the variational procedure has been reduced from 10 to three. [Pg.157]

The basis functions are normally the same as used in wave mechanics for expanding the HF orbitals, see Chapter 5 for details. Although there is no guarantee that the exponents and contraction coefficients determined by the variational procedure for wave functions are also optimum for DFT orbitals, the difference is presumably small since the electron densities derived by both methods are very similar. ... [Pg.190]

Most standard forms of contract contain specific procedures for determination, and these should be rigidly adhered to. For example, the contract document may lay down that the contractor be given 14 days notice in writing to rectify his progress before determination is carried out. Any letters should be sent by recorded delivery or served by hand. While liquidated or non-liquidated damages can be claimed with respect to late or incomplete work, expense claims usually follow the events shown below, which are also mentioned in Section 8.24 ... [Pg.95]

The starting point is our previously performed calculations [3] using the Huzinaga basis set [20] (9s) for Be and (4s) for H, triple-zeta contracted, supplemented by the three 2p orbitals proposed for Be by Ahlrichs and Taylor [21] with exponents equal to 1.2, 0.3 and 0.05 respectively. This initial basis set, noted I, includes one s-type bond-function the exponent of which is equal to 0.5647. Several sets of diffuse orbitals have then been added to this basis I. Their corresponding exponents were determined by downward extrapolation from the valence basis set, using the Raffenetti [22] and Ahlrichs [21] procedure. Three supplementary basis sets noted II, III and IV containing respectively one, two and three... [Pg.314]

Part B information to be defined by the FSA customer once the contract has been awarded to a contractor, e.g. the sample storage conditions to be used, the methods to be used, the IQC procedures to be used, the required measurement limits (e.g. limit of detection (LOD), limit of determination/ quantification (LOQ), and the reporting limits)... [Pg.83]

The Amb a 1 concentration of the final purified intermediate bulk is determined by an absorbance method chosen for its precision, accuracy, and simplicity. Because Amb a 1 bulk intermediate will now be conjugated to 1018 ISS (and the number of linked 1018 ISS affects the activity of the resulting AIC), it is essential to quantitate the Amb a 1 concentration accurately and precisely. A significant over- or underestimation of protein concentration will result in an over- or underestimation of the heterobifunctional linker required to activate the protein for coupling to 1018 ISS. The absorbance method, more dependent on well-calibrated instrumentation than lab technique, was chosen because it is an easy procedure to transfer to the production site. Dilution skills are the only requirement for robust performance of a well-developed and validated absorbance method. Hence a contract manufacturing site could readily quantitate Amb a 1 without the... [Pg.23]

This procedure is based on the measurement of the contraction of volume that results from the different densities of the monomer and polymer. The conversion of the volume contraction to the yield of polymer can be made by means of a gravimetrically determined calibration curve or by calculation from the specific volumes (see Example 3-6). [Pg.67]

A price calculation is relatively easy for a product with a track record of a regular industrial-scale production. On the other hand, it is difficult, if only a laboratory procedure exists and a calculation has to be made based on the virtual scaleup to industrial-scale production. The ability to perform this desk exercise in a quick and reliable fashion is an important competence criterion of a fine-chemical manufacturer. When setting a price, a separation of tasks must be made between the controller, who calculates the manufacturing cost, and the sales manager, who determines the sales price. If mistakes have been made and prices have to be changed, you will need facts to support your request. If a pivotal product is supplied, a supply contract is concluded. [Pg.147]

Cardiac function may be evaluated by the determination of left (or right) ventricular ejection fraction (VEF). In this procedure, regions of interest are defined at the end diastolic and end systolic phases of heart beat. The ejection fraction is defined as the ratio of tracer (blood) in the heart in the contracted (systolic) versus the relaxed (diastolic) phases of the heart cycle with appropriate corrections for decay and gamma camera dead time. The value obtained provides a measure of the ability of the heart to pump blood through the lungs (RVEF) or the body (LVEF). A criticism of Ir-191m for this application has been that the half-life (4.96s) is too short to allow effective visualization and quantitation of left ventricular function in adults, particularly those with delayed transit times. A recent... [Pg.63]

During the software IQ the developer will produce a plan for installing the software in the target environment as specified by the technical requirements specification deliverable. The resources and information necessaiy to install the software product must be determined and be made available. The developer must assist the system owner and maintenance personnel with the setup activities where the installed software product is replacing an existing system, the developer must support any parallel operation activities required by the contract. The installation plan and procedures must be documented. [Pg.225]

The convergence of the iterative determination of eigenvalues and eigenvectors is accelerated appreciably if spin-orbit Cl and quasi-degenerate perturbation theory procedures are combined. To this end, the perturbation matrix is set up in the basis of the most important LS contracted Cl vectors Em 1 1). The solutions of this small eigenvalue problem... [Pg.168]

In the presence of an orientation potential, one should also consider the effective frequencies corresponding to the harmonic approximation of this potential. The adiabatic elimination procedure (AEP), as developed in Chapter II, should allow us to take into account the inertial corrections to the standard adiabatic elimination, thereby making it possible to determine the influence of inertia on EPR spectra within the context of a contracted description that retains only the variable Q. This allows us to arrive at an equation of the form... [Pg.327]
