The idea of Incest in Duchamp s Sirring was, unfortunately, taken altogether too literally by Arturo Schwarz. Medical consultation" means a consultation which takes place between an employee and a licensed physician for the purpose of determining what medical examinations or procedures, if any, are appropriate in cases where a significant exposure to a hazardous chemical may have taken place.

What does consultant mean From a contractual, formal perspective, consultant usually refers to a consulting firm that enters into legal agreements with clients. 

Harmonised standards are technical specifications adopted by one of the European standards organisations following a mandate issued by the European Commission on which Member States were consulted. When published by the Commission in the Official Journal of the European Communities, the hamionised standards give presumption of confomiity to the essential requirements they specify. This means that manufacturers applying these standards do not have to demonstrate the compliance of the manufactured products with the relevant requirements of the directive. 

The conversion of acetylenes into acetyl ides, M-C=C-R (M = Li, Na, K, MgBr), by means of alkyllithium or Grignard reagents in organic solvents or by alkali metal amides in liquid ammonia is well documented (for practical examples see ref. 1, for review articles consult inter alia refs. 2-5). 

Because of the complexity of designs and performance characteristics, it is difficult to select the optimum atomizer for a given appHcation. The best approach is to consult and work with atomizer manufacturers. Their technical staffs are familiar with diverse appHcations and can provide valuable assistance. Assistance in problem definition and in developing a test program should be sought from persons experienced in the field. If your organization has a consultant in separations of this land, by all means m e use of the expertise available. If not, it may be wise to employ an outside consultant, whose special knowledge and guidance can save time, money, and headaches. It is important to do this early after the separation equipment has been installed, there is httle a consultant can do to remedy the sometimes disastrous effects of a poor selection. Often it is best to work with established equipment manufacturers throughout the selection process, unless the problem is unusually sensitive or confidential. Their experience with problems similar to yours may be most helpful and avoid many false starts.

This means that parts must be ordered in advance for the turnaround and other work must be planned so that the whole operation may proceed smoothly and without holdups that could have been foreseen. In any APC, the operators must be educated and brought into it before they can use it. The control must be properly designed, meaning the model must be configured and properly tuned. In these cases, of course, it is necessary to know what name might be used for the compound. The name is not necessary for Index Chemicus (p. 1622) one consults the formula indexes. However, these methods are far from complete. Index Chemicus lists primarily new compounds, those which would not have been found in the earlier search. As for chemical Titles, the compound can be found only if it is mentioned in the title. The keyword indexes in CA are more complete, being based on internal subject matter as well as title, but they are by no means exhaustive. Furthermore, all three of these publications lag some distance behind the original journals. To locate all references to a compound after the period covered by the latest semiannual formula index of CA, it is necessary to use CAS-online.

TeleStroke consultation can therefore be performed quickly. Its efficiency compares quite favorably to the management of patients in rural Ontario" who receive rt-PA after transfer from a rural hospital to a tertiary-care center (the so-called ship and drip model). The patients located in mral Ontario had a mean total time of 138 minutes between presentation at the rural facility and dmg delivery at the tertiary-care center. The door-to-bolus time at the community hospitals linked to our TeleStroke service was 106 minutes, only 36 minutes longer than that measured by the urban acute stroke service in Houston, which permitted a mean door-to-bolus time of 70 minutes. Whereas the door-to-consult time within a telemedicine system may decrease with training and practice, interfacility transfer times, such as those observed in Ontario, are not easily shortened. 

Case C, the titration of a weak acid with a weak base and vice versa, has in fact already been illustrated in Fig. 2.18 by the curves BB and B B are fully valid and for characteristic (3) the initial point is still dependent on the original concentration c however for the further main part of the curve we see a clean symmetry versus the equivalence point, which has become a true inflection point, independent of the concentration and simply determined by the mean value of pKg and pKb, i.e., (p/ia + pKh)/2 or (pifa + pifw - pKa.)/2. It also means that in the simultaneous titration of a polyvalent acid or a series of weak acids of different strength with a strong base and vice versa, (1) the stronger the acid the earlier it is titrated within the series, (2) the initial point and the final end-point of the series are still influenced by the concentration, but (3) the intermediate steps are only determined at the pH of the inflection point by the mean value of the pifas of the subsequent acids and in its steepness by the difference between these pKgs. Therefore, consultation of pKa tables provides the most suitable way of predicting the results of such simultaneous titrations. 

The dispersion and stirred tank models of reactor behavior are in essence single parameter models. The literature contains an abundance of more complex multiparameter models. For an introduction to such models, consult the review article by Levenspiel and Bischoff (3) and the texts by these individuals (2, 4). The texts also contain discussions of the means by which residence time distribution curves may be used to diagnose the presence of flow maldistribution and stagnant region effects in operating equipment.
