Standard Building

Some major transformer manufacturers build standard off-the-shelf components used in the design of common-mode filter transformers such as Coilcraft (Cary, IL). These transformers have various inductance values, and current ratings and also provide the needed creepage dimensions. This can make the designer s job a lot easier. 

Chemical plants also consist of process buildings, storage and warehouse buildings, control houses, laboratories, and general offices. Depending on tlie nature of activity and tlie quality of the contents, tlie structural requirements and protection features will vary. A limitation of the currently available discrete-column workstations is that ancillary tasks, such as building standards and reagents, extract dry-down, and direct autosampler compatibility, are not available. Discrete-column workstations were introduced years before 96-well workstations and seem to be losing ground to them, primarily due to throughput and speed limitations. The ability of a discrete-column work station, such as the Rapid Trace, to finely tune conditions for a solid-phase extraction is, however, unmatched [30-31].

A technical review of all work delivered to TAG by I C Energo was undertaken. This review has ensured that all outputs were complete and that build standard references were correct. The review also confirmed that the anomaly report was supported by the analysis. The annotations were also examined to confirm that they were sensible and appropriate. If the raised problems could not be satisfactorily resolved by email/fax then the rework was required and a new delivery of outputs and results prepared by I C Energo and subsequently delivered to TAG for acceptance.

There may be cases where FR additives will be required in order to pass severe fire specifications, like the Ml classification of ihe French Building Standard using the Epiradiateur Radiation Test. Also, under the EU Building Products Directive there is now a move to harmonise national fire legislation and testing. The new spread of flame test or SBI test may require some increase in the fire retardancy of current rigid PVC formulations. 

Once dealt with building standards but has been repealed, its subject matter being incorporated into the Building Act 1984.

Some concepts intend to reduce the number of safety-related functions of the balance of plant, e.g., the SVBR-75/100 (18), or even to release the balance of plant from any nuclear safety function whatsoever, e.g., the STAR-H2 (29). Then, the balance of plant could be preconstructed or constructed in parallel to reactor site assembly by local companies and local labour to local building standards, and can be financed in local currency.
