Unless a firm has previous experience with such audits, it is highly recommended that the firm assign responsibilities for PAI readiness, determine the PAI schedule, anticipate FDA needs, verify application integrity, and verify GMP compliance on their own before the visit.

As OWL supports the access and inclusion of ontology files via http // web addresses, the web interface of the PDW is able to offer the appropriate files for direct opening in OWL tools such as Protege [979]. This section describes how these results are transferred to the area of business application integration in order to apply the approach in an industrial environment. Based on the idea of service-oriented architectures, the modeling formalism to specify wrappers is extended to model an integrated business application as a loosely coupled set of interacting services. 

In this subsection, the problem of a-posteriori application integration in the area of business process support is investigated. Current solutions, representing the state-of-the-art in industry, and their deficits are discussed first. Then, key concepts of the service-oriented paradigm are introduced and related to the problem of a-posteriori integration. Expected advantages of the service-oriented approach are finally discussed.
