Wetting agents esters

Surfynol CT-121 Texaphoi 3061 wetting agent, ester waxes Serdox NOL-15 wetting agent, etch baths... [Pg.2836]

Aerosol is also a trade name for certain wetting agents, most of which are esters of sodium sulphosuccinic acid. [Pg.17]

Antlblaze 19. Antiblaze 19 (Mobil), a flame retardant for polyester fibers (134), is a nontoxic mixture of cycHc phosphonate esters. Antiblaze 19 is 100% active, whereas Antiblaze 19T is a 93% active, low viscosity formulation for textile use. Both are miscible with water and are compatible with wetting agents, thickeners, buffers, and most disperse dye formulations. Antiblaze 19 or 19T can be diffused into 100% polyester fabrics by the Thermosol process for disperse dyeing and printing. This requires heating at 170—220°C for 30—60 s. [Pg.490]

Other components in PVAc-formulations are defoamers, stabilizers, filler dispersants, preservatives, thickeners (hydroxyethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellu-lose), polyvinyl alcohols, starch, wetting agents, tackifiers, solvents (alcoholes, ketone, esters), flame retardants and others. [Pg.1078]

There are some applications for a-sulfo fatty acid esters in the production and processing of synthetic materials or natural rubber. Emulsifiers are needed for the emulsion polymerization, antistatic agents improve the properties of polymers, and wetting agents are needed as parting components for elastomers. [Pg.490]

Uses Manufacture of flotation agents, esters (perfumes and flavors), dyestuffs, wetting agents ingredient in industrial cleaners and paint removers preparation of methyl ethyl ketone solvent in lacquers in hydraulic brake fluids organic synthesis. [Pg.228]

Uses Solvent for dyes and resins preparation of furfuryl esters furan polymers solvent for textile printing manufacturing wetting agents and resins penetrant flavoring corrosion-resistant sealants and cements viscosity reducer for viscous epoxy resins. [Pg.608]

The method developed for sodium fluoroacetate is based on collection of the sample with cellulose ester filters especially low in extractables (Toyo-cel cellulosic ester membrane filters from Nuclepore were used). The samples were extracted with water and analyzed by ion chromatography. Other MCE filters contained high levels of extractables Cfrom wetting agents, surfactants) that... [Pg.304]

Blasting expls were improved by incorporating a wetting agent, such as 2-naphthyloxy-acetlc acid laurylamide, 2-naphthylstearyl-amine, or Na benzenesulfonate. The wetting agent renders the water-sol components more readily wettable by the liq nitrate esters, which are also more effectively dispersed. [Pg.601]

As a result, the sensitiveness of the expl is not diminished when it is used in wet condition. A typical expl formulation of this application is AN and/or KNOg and/or NH4Cl with liquid nitrate ester 3—20 wetting agent 0.001-1%)... [Pg.601]

Turpentine is used in syntheses by llie chemical and pharmaceutical industries. It also is used as a paint thinner and as a component of polishes and cleaning compounds. Pine oil finds application as a penetrant, wetting agent and preservative, especially by the textile and paper industries, and as an inexpensive deodorant and disinfectant in specialty products. The resin acids are used in the production of ester gum, Glyptal resins and are indispensable in paper sizing,... [Pg.1602]

Pickling and plating bath Phosphate esters Fatty acid sulphonates Alkanolamides Complex amphoterics Wetting agents... [Pg.11]

These are sulphonates with some atypical properties and are more complex in that they are polyfunctional, containing sulphonate, ester and, in the case of the half-ester, carboxylate groups. Sulphosuccinates are valued as very mild surfactants in personal care applications and, as the diester, also as highly effective oil-soluble wetting agents. [Pg.110]
