During this period, construction documentation shall be established that provides an accurate basis for system commissioning and validation. Further, operation and maintenance plans, instructions, SOPs, and SLAs shall be developed in readiness for the handover of the assets to the operational environment. 

Implementation phase In the implementation phase, processes and process modihcations are installed and integrated to the exishng system, commissioned, and put into operahon. All operators and workers are trained for the changes in the process and new processes. 

Assets are constructed in accordance with the Detailed Design that provides a definitive description of the systems and components required to build facilities and assemble systems in a manner that will meet the business need. During this period, construction documentation is established to provide an accurate basis for system commissioning and validation. Further, operation and maintenance plans, instructions, SOPs and SLAs are developed in readiness for the handover of the assets to the operational environment. The time required to prepare, review and obtain approval of these documents must not be underestimated and should commence as soon as the FMEA process has defined the asset management strategy. 

Instrument alarms and trips should be tested by simulation of trip conditions as far as possible during system commissioning. It is recommended in the case of trips that the function and mechanism in each case be verified by testing the system in its entirety. For example, in the case of a high-pressure rectifier trip, the system pressure should be raised to the trip value and all actions through to the circuit breaker should be observed. 

On completion of brine system commissioning, a full analysis of the feed brine should be made before startup. This analysis should include all impurities covered in the Analytical Manual. 

There is also a heat loss term associated with the high-pressure steam drum. This term is typically used to imderstand the whether significant errors exist in boiler feed water flows, steam flows and temperatures, furnace convection section measurements, and fuel flow and composition measurements. During the optimization system commissioning sensitivity of this term to the aforementioned measurements helps those commissioning the system eliminate the worst measurements, and establish the validity of the models.
