Growth Performance Response. The consistent net effect of anaboHc steroid implant use in growing mminants appears to be increased rate of protein and Hve weight gain, and increased Hve weight at which carcass or empty body fat concentration equals that in nonimplanted cattie thus increasing their potential mature size. Increased feed intake is frequentiy observed.

In this paper a model is made describing the relation between a response variable (e.g. R , K, zj and the independent variables (mobile phase composition, temperature and relative humidity). When a separation is optimized it is of importance to select the best performing response variables. Best performing, in this case, meaning, giving the most trustworthy predictions. For reasons stated below was used as response variable. The R can be used to calculate Rp k and R values (equation(4)). The value taken for N in this latter calculation was 3000.

In all charge transport processes, several factors govern overall efficiency [25]. First, the generation of free carriers within the CGL is field dependent. Second, at the interface of the CGL and CTL, injection processes can be rate limiting. Finally, the mobility of the carriers in the CTL can be limiting. These factors are balanced delicately in functional electrophotographic systems to optimize performance-response characteristics. A full discussion is beyond the scope of the present chapter.

The calibration curves obtained in copper(II) nitrate solutions of pH = 4.8, containing acetic buffer, are shown in Fig,3. (For comparison the calibration curve for a CU2S electrode is also presented). The calibration slopes are near to the expected divalent slope, i.e., 29.6 mV at 25 °C and the basic performance (response time, stability and repeatability of readouts) is similar to that observed with Orion Cu-ISE. Over the range of operating A/F ratios of an engine, a good NO reduction catalyst gives the performance response for HC, CO, and NO as shown in Figure 6. These three functions obviously contribute to traffic safety. They have different requirements in terms of performance response time and to process them within a single application cycle involves complex software, which could be avoided.
