Monthly report, sample

The sample monthly report presented on the next three pages is made up of different reporting formats an actual report would probably use a more consistent presentation format. The report is a monthly corporate level report it assumes the reader is familiar with the format and provides little explanation or interpretation. Each division or facility would have its own report which would cover local issues in more detail. [Pg.132]

The coliform bacteria standard is expressed as the number of coliform colonies in 100 mL of water. The level cannot exceed 4 colonies per 100 mL in 5% of samples, or 1 coliform colony per 100 mL of the average of all monthy samples. The standard is based on a monthly reporting period. [Pg.479]

Viala et al. published a method for GC detection of chloroquine and monodes-methylchloroquine in hair of patients who had been treated with chloroquine for several months. The samples were washed with detergent (DET) and then dissolved in hot potassium hydroxide. After the extraction with ether, a thin-layer procedure was used for cleaning up. The quantitation was made by GC with a NP-FID. Chloroquine and its metabolite were identified by GC/MS. The GC detection of chloroquine and with NP-FID detector was reported by Ochsendorf et al. They quantitated the drug in different hair sections and found a correlation to the pharmacological behavior of the substance. Couper et al. described a GC screening with NP-FID for antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs in hair from post-mortem cases. [Pg.102]

Some earlier data on precipitation pH determined in Jakarta has been reported. Samples were collected from January 1981 to July 1984 on a monthly basis and from December 1984 to October 1987 on a weekly basis. Volume weighted mean pH values were 4.79 for the monthly data and 5.33 for the weekly data (Ayers, 1991). [Pg.83]

This request was necessary due to the unusual nature of the timeline. A delay of a year and three months from sample collection to validated results is unusual, even for the AUES. Another delay of eight more months until the regulators and at least one property owner were notified is another inexplicable circumstance. Finally, the Report states in the first sentence, In accordance with the revised Final Work Management Plan for Follow-on Sampling for OU-4 Residential Lots, Amendment 2 (Parsons, April 2001), Parsons (a leading environmental remediation firm) collected soil samples from four OU-4 residences to assess for the presence of the American University Experiment Station (AUES) list of chemicals. The District must know how samples collected in February 2001 could be in accordance with a plan amended in April 2001. [Pg.204]

From 1959 to 1964 the U. S. Public Health Service collected monthly precipitation samples at 39 locations throughout the continental United States. Equation 5 was used to calculate the pH values for this data set of 1295 samples. Mg++ was not reported, so it was estimated by assuming it to be related to Ca++, with the (Ca++)/(Mg ) ratio being assigned regional values based on a very... [Pg.88]

The first reports of plastic in the North Atlantic indicated the presence of 50-12,000 particles/km in the Sargasso Sea in 1972 (52) and from 0-14.1 particles per m in coastal waters of southern New England (42), where the main source was river-borne effluents from plastic fabrication plants (44). Plastic objects discarded from boats and from recreational activities on beaches were the main sources of debris in Narragansett Bay, being deposited at a rate of 9.6 g m of beach front per month (53). During a detailed survey off the southeast coast of the United States (43, 54), fragments of plastic were present in about 70% of the samples collected from the waters of the continental shelf, the continental slope and the Gulf Stream between Florida and Cape Cod, 50% of those from the Caribbean Sea, and 60% of those from the Antilles Current. Since unprocessed plastic was more prevalent in continental shelf waters and fabricated objects were common offshore but rare near land, the authors surmised... [Pg.230]

Bozette et al. (2001) examined expenditures for the care of adult HIV-infected patients since the introduction of highly active antiretroviral therapy. They interviewed a representative random sample of 2,864 patients in early 1996 and followed them for up to 36 months. They estimated the average expenditure per patient per month on the basis of self-reported information. According to their calculations, the mean expenditure was US 1,792 per patient per month at base hne in early 1996, but it decbned to US 1,359 for survivors in 1997, since the increases in pharmaceutical expenditures were smaller than the reductions in hospital costs. After adjustments for the interview date, clinical status, and deaths, the estimated annual expenditure declined from US 20,300 per patient (1996) to US 18,300 (1998). [Pg.360]

Most of the mercury in muscle is present as MeHg. Barr (1986) reported that adult loons from a site closest to a mercury somce with 1.87 ppm Hg in fish, resulted in a muscle Hg concentration of 4.57 ppm ww and a brain Hg concentration of 1.49 ppm. Those loons had only 20% of territories successful (Barr 1986). Mallard hens receiving 0.5 ppm dietary mercury for 18 months had a muscle Hg concentration of 0.82 ppm compared with brain Hg = 0.50 ppm. Mallard hens receiving 3 ppm for the same period had 5.01 ppm in muscle and 4.57 in brain (Heinz 1976). Based on these assessments, muscle Hg concentration is more representative of brain Hg concentration and correlates better with effect than the more commonly measured fiver residue. It is also possible to sample muscle tissue nonlethally via biopsy, in... [Pg.150]

The precursor of ° Ru is ° Rh (tip, = 3 years). It is prepared by irradiating natural ruthenium metal with 20 MeV deuterons, " Ru (d, n) Rh. The target is then allowed to decay for several months to diminish the accompanying Rh activity. In a report on ° Ru Mossbauer spectroscopy [111], the authors reported on spectra of Ru metal, RuOa, and [Ru(NH3)4(HS03)2] at liquid helium temperature in standard transmission geometry using a Ge(Li) diode to detect the 127 keV y-rays. The absorber samples contained 1 g of ruthenium per cm. ... [Pg.270]

The native sample E (Fig. 3) contains a relatively large amount of aggregated structures. Most of them appear to rearrange into perfectly matched double-stranded chains after incubation at 80 °C for 2 months (27). This rearrangement is reported to result in a fivefold increase in the apparent viscosity at a shear rate of 1 s-1 (27). A similar rearrangement of xanthan assemblies is also observed in a unpasteurized fermentation broth after exposure of the sample... [Pg.156]

Interim results of an investigation of 185 subjects and later results from the complete follow-up sample of 305 subjects in a prospective study of inner-city children (>80% black) bom in Cincinnati, Ohio, were reported by Dietrich et al. (1986, 1987a, 1987b). Maternal PbB levels were measured at the first prenatal visit cord PbB was measured at delivery infant PbB levels were measured at 10 days and at 3 months of age and neurobehavioral tests were performed at 3 and 6 months of age. Mean PbB levels were as follows prenatal (maternal)—8.0 pg/dL (range, 1-27 pg/dL) umbilical cord—6.3 pg/dL (range,... [Pg.121]
