A unique resource is the Science Citation Index with paper subsaiption back to 1945 and electronic to 1964. With its multiple indexes, an author may be searched for published articles and where those articles are cited in the scientific literature. The unique features enable the Institute for Scientific Information to provide a bibliometric analysis of science journals in their database to list the most frequently used journals and those journals with the highest impact. This analysis is published as Journal Citation Reports. [Pg.16]

Barium titanate crystals rank high among those solids on which electronic research has been focused during the last two decades, because this compound and its derivatives belong to a promising group of ferroelectrics. The properties of single crystals of BaTiOs reveal that the crystals are not uniform they respond to an electrical field as if they have a skin which covers the bulk of the crystal. [Pg.80]

Recent advances in electronic publishing mean that fuU-text copies of research articles can be downloaded either from a publisher or via BIDS. In the case of the former you will need to estabhsh whether your institute has an electronic subscription to the publication of interest. Viewing of an electronic research paper is done via a particular software programme, e.g. the reader Adobe Acrobat . It is often possible to download a free copy of the reader to your computer the first time you try this. [Pg.319]

Recently in thin film electronics research, inorganic (particulate) films have received a lot of attention [3, 23]. High charge carrier mobilities (mainly n-type) and good environmental stability make inorganic materials highly favourable for electronics applications. Their generally problematic processability, however, limits current application in printed electronics. [Pg.130]

The thick-film design consists of four layers, to be separately screen printed and fired on a 1 in square alumina substrate (figure 14.9). Commercial formulations were used for electrodes, bridge trimming resistors, and passivation layers. The first attempted sensor layer was a commercial silver/palladium paste modified by the addition of palladium powder. Based on the performance of the first thick-film sensors, DuPont Electronics (Research Triangle Park, NC) specifically formulated a palladium-based thick-film paste for this application. [Pg.393]
