Phenolics are consumed at roughly half the volume of PVC, and all other plastics are consumed in low volume quantities, mosdy in single apphcation niches, unlike workhorse resins such as PVC, phenoHc, urea—melamine, and polyurethane. More expensive engineering resins have a very limited role in the building materials sector except where specific value-added properties for a premium are justified. Except for the potential role of recycled engineering plastics in certain appHcations, the competitive nature of this market and the emphasis placed on end use economics indicates that commodity plastics will continue to dominate in consumption. The apphcation content of each resin type is noted in Table 2. Comparative prices can be seen in Table 5. The most dynamic growth among important sector resins has been seen with phenoHc, acryUc, polyurethane, LLDPE/LDPE, PVC, and polystyrene. 

Until comparatively recently the bulk of general purpose phthaiate plasticisers have been based on the branched alcohols because of low cost of such raw material. Suitable linear alcohols at comparative prices have become available from petroleum refineries and good all-round plasticisers are produced with the additional advantage of conferring good low-temperature flexibility and high room temperature resistance to plasticised PVC compounds. A typical material (Pliabrac 810) is prepared from a blend of straight chain octyl and decyl alcohols. 

The GAO stated that the goals in the act for fuel replacement were not met because alternative fuel vehicles have serious economic disadvantages compared to conventional gasoline engines. These included the comparative price of gasoline, the lack of refueling stations for alternative fuels and the additional costs of these vehicles. 

Get into contact with sales persons of all manufacturers offering suitable systems. Compare prices and modalities of customer training and support. 

Many of the applications for composite materials involve their (relative) lightweight, resistance to weathering and chemicals, and their ability to be easily fabricated and machined. Bulk applications employ composites that are relatively inexpensive. Combinations of rigorous specifications, low volume, specific machining and fabrication specifications, and comparative price to alternative materials and solutions allow more expensive specialized composites to be developed and utilized. 

I begin with an analysis of the behavior of prices paid for vaccines by the federal government during the period 1992-2002, using data from two different sources. 1 construct price indexes that compare the price of a vaccine in a given year to the price of the same vaccine in another year. The indexes do not compare prices of different vaccines (e.g., new vs. old vaccines). 

From an economic point of view, a machine, like the one which is currently used, would never be sold on a free market, where a client compares prices of cleaning equipments of different manufacturers. Very important and high-performing - and therefore expensive - components have been incorporated for reasons of reduced emission and energy consumption. By these means environmental standards are exceeded, a fact which is not rewarded in free market competition. 

Financial and political support to the alternative transport routes should be broadly applied. This applies to the implementation of new gas technologies. This may contribute to maintain stability of the international energy market, and, thus, to keep the comparative prices low.

In our modem economic society, prices may vary widely from one period to another, and this factor must be considered when the costs for an industrial process are determined. It would obviously be ridiculous to assume that plant operators or supervisors could be hired today at the same wage rate as in 1975. The same statement applies to comparing prices of equipment purchased at different times. The chemical engineer, therefore, must keep up-to-date on price and wage fluctuations. One of the most complete sources of information on existing price conditions is the Monthly Labor Review published by the U S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This publication gives up-to-date information on present prices and wages for different types of industries. 

The PMPRB compares prices in Canada with those in seven industrialized nations (France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States) to ensure that Canadian prices are in line with those of comparable countries. There is some controversy that existing drug products are well-controlled regarding prices, but that such is not the case with newly introduced pharmaceuticals. 

In direct procurement, products are obtained directly from a single source without applying the requirements of a tender process or comparing price quotations. 

I have listed solar cell suppliers in the resources section, but you can also call major solar cell manufacturers. Request their prices for cosmetically flawed and off spec cells, and find out what their minimum order is. Popular internet auction sites can also be a possible source for cells, although I recommend these with caution. Take your time, shop around, compare prices, and consider customer service. 

There are many scenarios where a precise schema mapping may not be available. For instance, a comparison search bot that tracks comparative prices from different web sites has - in real time - to determine which attributes at a particular location correspond to which attributes in a database at another URL. In many cases, users querying two databases belonging to different organizations may not know what is the right schema mapping. The common model of attribute correspondences assumes a unique and deterministic possible correspondence to each attribute and thus incapable of modeling multiple possibilities. 

Native luciferase obtained by collecting fireflies was prone to quality variations. Several companies now supply recombinant luciferases in various genetically modified forms. Modification to obtain one desirable property, e.g. thermostability, may change other characteristics, e.g. specific activity, K values and pH optimum. The specific activity must be taken into account when comparing prices per mg. A generally agreed unit for measuring luciferase activity is needed, since rlu are dependent on luminometer and reaction conditions.
