Synthesis workstations

Experiments were performed on an automated parallel synthesis workstation coupled with a personal computer supplied with software enabling the workstation to be programmed. Samples were prepared in a rack containing a 6x4 array of glass tubes. Catalytic activities were measured by means of gas chromatography. The reported activities are the averages of the results from different experiments. [Pg.214]

Aurora Biomolecules dedicates to peptide synthesis (and polyclonal antibody production) for any small quantity purpose. FMOC chemistry (on Perceptive Biosystems Pioneer instruments) is used for peptides synthesis Online monitoring of the coupling efficiencies and HATU activation helps insure that the major component of the synthesis is the correct oligopeptide. Purification is firstly carried out by size exclusion chromatography, and then by HPLC on a PE vision purification workstation. Typically, 20 mg of pure peptide are obtained. The molecular weight of the purified peptide is determined as a final confirmation of quality. [Pg.234]

The purpose of the Gnusic [Kahrs and Killian, 1992] project was to build a music I/O device for an experimental workstation capable of orchestral synthesis . Orchestral synthesis means the synthesis of large number of voices in real time. The basic architecture is shown in figure 5.18. [Pg.415]

The hydrolytic condensation of tert-butyltrichlorosilane ISu SiC l, in water was performed in a 25-fold up-scaling of the HTE synthesis. Bu SiCh is a solid at room temperature since the HTE workstation employed can only handle liquids, the tri-chlorosilane was dissolved in a minimum of acetonitrile. The same procedure was used for the up-scaled synthesis. After 18 h of reaction at 50 °C, the reaction mixture contained a white precipitate, which was isolated by filtration (fraction A). [Pg.230]

Profile The company develops software for combinatorial chemistry, including instrument control, and product data generation, storage, and access. It also offers solution phase and solid phase combinatorial synthesis instruments that are low cost and offer a high throughput. Software runs on PCs under Windows 95 and NT 4.0 and on SGI workstations. Free short-term evaluation licenses are offered for those interested in evaluating the software. [Pg.223]

Profile The company is a sister company of ComGenex, Inc., which manufacturers the MultiReactor workstation for parallel organic synthesis marketed by Robosynthon. [Pg.277]

Finally, Combinatorial Chemistry closes with a critical discussion of the various attempts to automate combinatorial synthesis, with a presentation of a newly developed workstation used to perform fully automated parallel synthesis, including all steps through work-up to sample preparation for screening modules. [Pg.610]

The RAM synthesizer (Fig. 34), which has a modular design, is a fully automated workstation designed to execute the entire process of solution- and solid-phase synthesis [88, 89]. The Automatic Weigh Station allows the necessary reagents to be placed into preweighed vials. [Pg.72]

The ultimate control of an automated synthesizer is provided by a processor that translates the conunands from the user into a series of signals to actuate the various electromechanical devices that are used to perform the synthesis. In addition to this processor, the system can include a computer workstation that performs all the user interface functions. Once the synthesis information is downloaded from the workstation, the instrument can independently perform the synthesis using its internal processor and the workstation can be used for synthesis data management or other applications. [Pg.726]
