Supplementary Examination

Any of the examination methods described in para. GR-4.3.4 may be specified by the engineering design to supplement the examination required by Part IP or PL. Supplementary examination to be performed and any acceptance criteria that exceed the requirements in the applicable Part(s) shall be specified in the engineering design.

For supplementary examinations or to resolve uncertainty, see Chapter GR-4 or IP-10, or to any greater extent specified in the engineering design. 

This casting quality factor is applicable only when proper supplementary examination has been performed (see para. IP-2.2.8). 

This casting quality factor can be enhanced by supplementary examination in accordance with para. IP-2.2.8(c) and Table IP-2.2.8(c)-1. The higher factor from Table IP-2.2.8(c)-l may be substituted for this factor in pressure design equations. 

MRC It is only at stages II-III, III and IV that MRC facilitates a reliable assessment of the intra- and extrahepatic bile ducts, whereby it is often even more reliable than ERC. MRC cannot replace ERC in primary diagnostics of PSC, but serves as an important supplementary examination. (306, 330, 337, 354, 395, 412)... 

When considering the introduction of supplementary structure for any purpose there are a number of general items of design data, which must be examined and formulated ... 

The terminology used in this Standard is slightly different from the others in that it is appropriate for the particular discipline. For example, the term, referral laboratories in paragraph 4.5 of ISO 15189 is used in a slightly different sense to the comparable clause in ISO/IEC 17025. Included in this section are consultants who may provide a second opinion. If the referral laboratory is an external laboratory, to which samples are submitted for a supplementary or confirmatory examination procedure and report, it is much the same as a contract laboratory in ISO/IEC 17025. There is an extra Annex in this Standard which covers the ethics applicable to laboratory medicine. 

To ensure proper drainage, inspection personnel must examine overhead piping for proper pitch. Sprinkler systems are designed to drain back to the sprinkler riser, where a 2 in (5.1 cm) valve drain outlet is provided. When this is not possible and some piping is trapped, supplementary low point drain valves should be provided. Low-point drains should be shown on the system drawings. 

Materials relating to the provision of medical and educational goods and services, such as internal instructions, external instructions, the written protocol for recipients and printed material etc, must be examined by the Code of Practice signatories within companies to ensure that the requirements of the Code are met as recommended in the supplementary information to Clause 14.1 of the Code. 

Within the period of examination of the application for an opinion, the Ethics Committee may send a single request for information supplementary to that already supplied by the applicant. The period laid down in paragraph 5 shall be suspended until receipt of the supplementary information. 

A screening battery to evaluate the general physical condition of the patient is outlined in Table1-3. Supplementary lab and diagnostic tests may be required when specific clues from the history, physical examination, or initial lab screen suggest a physical disturbance ( Table 1-4). Finally, Table1-5 lists tests often used for specific clinical circumstances. 

As mentioned above, some of the primary optimal conditions determined in the first and second stages cannot yet be confirmed as really optimal, because they are the boundary values tested. In order to optimize these conditions further, some supplementary experiments were carried out in wider ranges to examine the influences of the pH, the reaction temperature, and the concentration of TiCl4 solution on the mean size of the product, for which the uniform design technique was employed. The experimental conditions and the results are listed in Table 15.8, where the values for the average sizes of particles are calculated from the X-ray spectrums. 

Hence Fukui s method is justified in the transition state, the FOs then being practically degenerate, with increased frontier coefficients at the reaction centers. All the other interactions are an order smaller.6 Unfortunately, transition state orbitals cannot be obtained easily,7 so we generally substitute the MOs of the reagents instead. This supplementary approximation,8 introduced for practical reasons, occasionally gives results which appear to violate the frontier orbital theory. We will examine such cases in more detail later (pp. 62, 76-78). 

Faist et al.292 have also examined the effect of dietary CML on the expression of GST in the rat kidney. In their Study 1, casein-linked CML was administered at two pharmacological doses [110 and 300 mg CML per kg body weight (b.w.) per day] for 10 d. In Study 2, supplementary breadcrust was used to give a daily intake of 11 mg (kg b.w.) 1 d for 42 d. In Study 1, the glutathione level in the kidneys increased 43 and 65%, respectively, and Phase II GST activity increased 12 and 96%, respectively, over the control. In Study 2, the protein content of the isoenzyme GST In- increased, but that of lji- and la-1 remained the same as in the control. Both studies were supported by experiments on Caco-2 cells. The answer in terms of internal quantum states is less evident. For, assume the photon left is now absorbed, and then the quantum state of the material support has not been necessarily restituted. This issue is examined now. We need supplementary base states Rb 61d5/2) 10a/) and Rb 61d5/2> 0a/>2. Now, if memory passage is erased and we get back the linear superpositions 3 + 7) and 3 — 7) that are equally possible, then we are back to the situation where either quantum state can be detected. This issue is now examined. 

You are a supplementary prescriber working in a diabetes clinic when John Stephens comes in to see you. He is still overweight despite being on the maximum dose of metformin and gliclazide. His HbAlc is 9.0% and on examination he has neuropathy developing in his feet. He is also on ramipril 10 mg, simvastatin 40 mg and aspirin 75 mg daily. His blood pressure was 130/80 mmHg and his total cholesterol was 4.0 mmol/L (reading from three months ago). There is no microalbuminuria present. 

We have developed several new measurement techniques ideally suited to such conditions. The first of these techniques is a High Pressure Sampling Mass Spectrometric method for the spatial and temporal analysis of flames containing inorganic additives (6, 7). The second method, known as Transpiration Mass Spectrometry (TMS) (8), allows for the analysis of bulk heterogeneous systems over a wide range of temperature, pressure and controlled gas composition. In addition, the now classical technique of Knudsen Effusion Mass Spectrometry (KMS) has been modified to allow external control of ambient gases in the reaction cell (9). Supplementary to these methods are the application, in our laboratory, of classical and novel optical spectroscopic methods for in situ measurement of temperature, flow and certain simple species concentration profiles (7). In combination, these measurement tools allow for a detailed fundamental examination of the vaporization and transport mechanisms of coal mineral components in a coal conversion or combustion environment. 

The third review level examines the document sets for particular computer systems identified in the hrst review level. Validation Plans and Validation Reports are typically among the first documents to be inspected. If the review of a computer system is not superhcial, the main life-cycle documents identified in Chapter 4 may be inspected. The inspector is likely to ask to see evidence of system specification and qualification, supplier evaluation, data maintenance, change control, training, and security. Sometimes inspectors will ask for supplementary information to be sent onward to them if they are seeking clarification of an issue.
