Solids are usually stored in bulk or piles, or on pallets or racks. In any case, incompatible materials must be separated and all appropriate safety procedures must be followed. [Pg.44]

Dust usually results when solids are conveyed or transferred. High-velocity solids streams produce large movements of air. Suspended dust can be carried long distances, and so dust containment and collection systems are necessary.
