In the selection of suppliers, a number of factors have to be considered. Weighting of the factors involved, by a Kepnor Tragor or structured process (see Table 2.1), is usually an essential tool used in the final selection of a supplier. The various attributes of the supplier are categorized into those which are essential, very desirable or merely nice, with appropriate weighting factors for each. The scores of the selection team are then applied to produce the resulting best selection. This is rarely the final answer.

Before utilizing such organizations, the pharmaceutical company must be satisfied that the preferred organizations will meet the technical, regulatory, budgetary and program constraints defined in the project terms of reference. The vehicle most commonly adopted to assess the capability of an organization is the Supplier Audit.

The other way around the A3 subproject participated from new and innovative methods and models as discussed above.
