Project term

A postproject management audit (project audit) is performed to verify that project terms were carried out and that services contracted for were satisfactorily completed. Once these basic objectives have been achieved, it is important that all documents are properly assembled and the project file be closed and stored in a manner permitting rapid reference and retrieval.

Essentially all nerve cells have one or more projections termed dendrites whose primary function is to receive information from other cells in their vicinity and pass this information on to the cell body. Following the analysis of this information by the nerve cell, bioelectrical changes occur in the nerve membrane that result in the information being passed to the nerve terminal situated at the end of the axon. The change in membrane permeability at the nerve terminal then triggers the release of the neurotransmitter.

Such simple models need validation and for this reason ETAD is conducting in a field study to investigate some representative dyes (at manufacturing sites and dyehouses) under a project termed Pathways of Colorants to the Environment. The environmental risk posed by a colorant is a function of both its inherent ecotoxicity and the concentrations attained in the environmental compartments. Unlike other substances eg, household detergents) which are emitted continuously, dyes releases result mainly from batch processes and result in spatial and temporal peak emissions. Obviously, short-time concentrations should be compared with acute data on ecotoxicity, whereas long-tom residual concentrations need to be cranpared with chronic effect levels. Because, data on chronic effects are not often available, empirical information serves as a basis for the effects assessment, ie, the extrapolation to a Predicted No Effect Concentration (PNEC). This PNEC value is to be compared with the so-called Predicted Environmental Concentration (PEC) in order to estimate safe levels of residual dye in the environment. Since it is the dissolved state in which a dyes may become biologically available, it is the aquatic environmental compartment which is primarily addressed here. Nonetheless, some consideration of the impact of dyes on sewage and soil is also included. 

A number of gram-positive bacteria, as well as gram-negative, contain cell surface hair-like projections termed fibrillae. In Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria, these structures are composed of protein and lipoteichoic acid complexes. The lipid portion of the lipoteichoic acid complex appears to be the ligand structure that binds to the complementary protein or glycoprotein host cell sites. Mycoplasma spp. and some filamentous bacteria are able to attach by their terminal of attachment structures to host cells, specifically epithelial cells [6,8]. 

Before utilizing such organizations, the pharmaceutical company must be satisfied that the preferred organizations will meet the technical, regulatory, budgetary and program constraints defined in the project terms of reference. The anterior border of the tibial insertion frequently has a projection termed the Parson s knob, which was detected in 45 % of dried bone specimens [23], suggesting that it can be helpful for proper tibial tunnel placement for ACL reconstructive surgery [24]. This knob could be considered a kind of enthesophyte, which is commonly seen in other tendon/ligament attachments [25].
