Rates schedule

Matrix acidizing treatments are more often performed, nowadays, with sensors and data acquisition systems continuously recording the surface pressure and rate histories. According to a recently proposed methodology (15), these records can be used to compute downhole rate and pressure evolutions. The bottomhole pressure history is then compared to the theoretical response of an equivalent reservoir wherein a non-reactive fluid would have been injected according to an identical rate schedule. Following this method, the difference between both theoretical and actual pressure responses originates from the evolution of the skin of the true reservoir under the influence of the acid attack. Equation 1 is then used to derive the skin decrease from this pressure difference. 

Another approach is possible if the affinity landscape correlation is known. The mutation rate in a given round can be based on the average fitness of the library in that round. The optimal mutation distance (see above) for a correlated landscape depends on the fitness of the point being mutated and can be converted into a mutation rate. More generally, if there is an estimate of the distribution of fitnesses around a population s average fitness as a function of number of rounds, theoretically a distribution of optimal mutation distances could be calculated, which could yield a mutation rate schedule for an evolving population.

The transportation of product to the user is a widely variable cost element. A power plant located at the minehead-processing plant site would have eflFectively no transportation cost. Rail transport of solid product would probably experience the same costs as coal itself (2). This can be estimated in lieu of specific foreknowledge of rail rate schedules through 1990 as per ton-mile. As an example of current costs to ship coal, low sulfur Western coal was shipped recently to New Jersey for utility use at a cost of 22 per ton, which corresponds closely to per ton-mile.

Densified fuel pellets may be used as boiler fuel in place of coal in stoker-fired furnaces. Direct substitution of fuel pellets was demonstrated in two informally reported instances with no furnace adjustments. The particulate emission from each of these installations were monitored with the emission rate results shown in Figure 2. As a comparison, the North Carolina Administrative Code allowable particulate emission rate schedule (a function of heating rate) is also shown. The environmentally acceptable particulate emission contributes to the economic justification of the conversion of small-to-medium size steam generators to the use of pelleted biomass fuels. Two such installations are now using pelleted fuels on a routine basis, and a third has concluded the economic benefit by entering into a contract agreement to purchase pelleted fuel. 

The ISO rating schedule is used mostly by the insurance companies who write policies on small industrial buildings. 

If organizations, such as the Society of the Plastics Industry, and the individual members of the foamed plastics industry can persuade ISO to examine their loss record more critically, I feel confident that a fairer rating schedule will be forthcoming. When this takes place, increased sales of rigid polyurethane foams should result.

Contract carriers. These trucks engage in for-hire transportation under individual contracts or agreements with their snippers. They are not required to file specific rate schedules with the ICC, but must file copies of their contracts and minimum rates. 

Convertibility The ability to change a loan from an adjustable rate schedule to a fixed rate schedule. 

Electric Rate - The unit price and quantity to which it applies as specified in a rate schedule or contract. 

Electric Rate Schedule - A statement of the electric rate(s), terms, and conditions for electricity sale or supply. 

Rate Schedule - A mechanism used by electric utilities to determine prices for electricity typically defines rates according to amounts of power demanded/consumed during specific time periods. 

A type of rating assigned under the Industrial Compensation Rating Schedule, as approved by the insurance commissioner, by which the Basic Manual Rate is modified to fit the physical conditions related to guarding of machines. It is also affected by the compliance of a safety organization to prescribe insurance standards. It has not been used in most states recently. 

Depending on provisions in apphcable compensation laws, there are multiple methods that may set premium rates for an insurer s customers. The key methods are manual rating, schedule rating, experience rating (prospective and retrospective), fixed rates, and premium discounts. 

A computerized power-demand controller provides an effective method of managing peak demand. A controller can analyze the options available and switch loads as needed to maintain a relatively constant power demand from the utihty company. Such systems are programmed to recognize which loads have priority and which loads are nonessential. Power demand then is automatically adjusted by the computer, based on the rate schedule of the utility company. 

Utility rate stmctures are typically complex contracts individually tailored to each utility s load profile, power generating methods, fuel, and energy sources. Rates are also influenced by the distance between the utility s generating plants and the user, which affects power transmission costs. Because it is impossible to define a general rate schedule, the responsibility rests with the plant manager to become familiar with the rate structures of the electric utility serving each facihty. Utility representatives will assist plant staff in interpreting rate schedules. 

Thermoplastic pipes specifically intended for industrial uses are often made to the IPS Schedule 40, 80, and 120 system which sets not only the outside diameter but also the wall thickness for each nominal size in each schedule. Since in a given pipe schedule the ratio of diameter to wall thickness tends to decrease with increasing diameter, so too does the pipe pressure rating. Schedule 80 wall thickness, or greater, is required whenever pipe is threaded. The pressure rating of thermoplastic threaded pipe is reduced to half that for unthreaded pipe.
