Reports of country of origin are based on the information from 40 countries responding to this part of the Annual Reports Questionnaire in 2005. In order to expand the information base for the analysis of the importance of less frequently mentioned producer countries, the time period was increased to the 2003-05 period. This raised the information base to a sample of 61 countries (equivalent to almost a third of all countries). Considering the broader 2003-2005 period, 27 per cent of countries cited Morocco as the main source country of the cannabis resin encountered on their domestic market. [Pg.102]

One indirect measure of methamphetamine production is to analyze the number of times a country is identified, by the country making the seizure, as the origin of the seized drug. This information is normally furnished in the Annual Reports Questionnaire. Based on this method,15 over the 2003-05 period the three largest methamphetamine producers in the region seem to be China, followed by Myanmar, the Philippines and other Asia . This includes countries such as Indonesia, the Lao PDR and India, mainly producing for the local market. [Pg.128]

In early days IMEP became internationally known because it was one of the few ILCs that was not based on consensus values derived from participants results. Contrary to common belief, the results of the various IMEP comparisons showed an unexpected large spread of participants results even for simple measurements, far from the laboratories own quoted standards of accuracy. To learn more about the origin of this spread, participants in IMEP were also asked to bll in a questionnaire. The questions gather information on the methodological approach, the establishment of traceability via the use of CRMs and the evaluation of uncertainty, the experience of the analyst, the self-declared status of accreditation, and the quality system. Based on general information about the laboratory (e.g., country of origin) and the answers given in the questionnaire, the results obtained... [Pg.180]

A quarter century later, researcher Rick Doblin published the results of his long-term follow-up study of the Good Friday Experiment. He located nineteen of the original twenty subjects. With sixteen of them he conducted interviews and readministered the six-month follow-up questionnaire, which Pahnke had designed for the experiment so long ago. [Pg.150]

The true demand for a test wdl depend on the number of patients and the spectrum of disease in each case where the test is appropriate. The appropriateness of the test request is a valuable arbiter in situations in which workload or demand for tests is questioned. A portfolio of evidence helps to define the basis for the appropriate use of tests. When conducting an audit of workload for a test it is possible to ask a number of questions, usually by questionnaire that are directly related to the original generation of the evidence upon which the use of the test should be based (guidelines). These include ... [Pg.346]

After this questionnaire is completed, copies of it, as well as the original Hazard Assessment Form, are sent to the individual members of the Hazard Review Team. It is at this time that the other members of the Team are made aware of the project and their respective responsibilities concerning it. The Hazard Evaluation Chemist is responsible for clarifying the degree of hazard involved with a particular operation or material. He carries out a series of tests which are dictated by the particular chemistry involved. [Pg.52]

As originally conceived, HTML focused on the structure of the document. Later it was improved to provide more formatting features. In spite of this evolution, HTML is still quite simple. An HTML text contains tags that serve as instructions for structuring, formatting, linking, and so on. Input forms and questionnaires can also be coded in HTML. A simple example of an HTML text is as follows ... [Pg.245]

Results from questionnaires can sometimes be frustrating. Not infrequently, analysis of the results leads to new questions that one wishes had been on the original questionnaire. These new questions can, however, provide the basis for a foUow-np agenda. [Pg.1302]

The following procedure is mostly based on classical TRIZ, as Altshuller developed it. However, it has been modified by the Author. Also, for the benefit of readers, the use of the innovation situation questionnaire (ISQ) has been incorporated into the first stage of the procedure (problem identification), although ISQ was developed much later than Altshuller s original TRIZ. (The ISQ was developed at the Kishinev School of TRIZ in Moldavia in the late 1980s, about 40 years after the initial ideas of TRIZ were formulated.)... [Pg.313]

There ate a number of methods that have been used for measuring safety performance in a specific organisation and its subsets or work units, such as departments and wards. Common methods such as observation, interviews and questionnaire surveys have not only been applied to achieve this, but special methods have also been developed. One of the special methods for this purpose is the Global Trigger Tool, which was developed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (Griffin and Resar 2009 IHI 2006). Some methods can make use of data that have been collected originally for other purposes and exploit the data to measure the safety performance of an organisation or its work units. A typical... [Pg.77]

The procedure of psychometric testing varies between the different studies included in this chapter. While many conducted no psychometric tests at all, two studies conducted a confirmatoiy factor analysis (CFA), two performed an exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and 10 studies did both. Despite this difficulty, we found only one study (Piyseley 2008) out of 10 which performed a CFA in order to test the original factor stracture of the HSPSC questionnaire, with several unacceptable thresholds for both absolute and incremental fit indices. With regards to the EFAs, the dimensions Staffing , Communication openness , Organisational learning and Teamwork across hospital units , appeared to be less stable. [Pg.252]

For both translations, confirmatory factor analysis showed an acceptable fit with the original 12-dimensional model. Although exploratory factor analysis resulted in a 10-dimensional and a 9-dimensional stracture for, respectively, the Dutch and French questionnaires, based on the acceptable validity and reliability scores, it was concluded that no modifications were required to the original 12-factor model in order to allow internal and external benchmarking for the psychiatric hospitals. [Pg.312]
