Project phase

When an oil or gas field has just been discovered, the quality of the information available about the well stream may be sparse, and the amount of detail put into the process design should reflect this. However, early models of the process along with broad cost estimates are needed to progress, and both design detail and cost ranges narrow as projects develop through the feasibility study and field development planning phases (see Section 12.0 for a description of project phases). 

The matrix displayed as Figure 3-7 offers a framework for matching skills with some sample tasks, which helps to define how you may productively utilize team members expertise. This in turn helps to project in general terms individuals roles within the team. Figure 3-8 applies the same technique to allocating skills to project phases.

Impact prediction should cover all project alternatives selected at scoping (either spatial or technological) and project phases (construction, operation, closure and postclosure are the main subdivisions). Moreover, exposure assessment should cover both normal operation and accidental conditions. 

Other clinical trials with CCR2 antagonists are underway [1], but no reports have been forthcoming. Both MLN-1202, a humanized anti-CCR2 antibody, and MK-0812, a small molecule antagonist, were examined in rheumatoid arthritis (vide supra) and are also being examined in multiple sclerosis. Two additional small molecules - CCX-915 and INCB-8696 - have entered phase 1 trials with multiple sclerosis as a projected phase 2 trial. An intention to study INCB-8696 in systemic lupus erythematosus has also been declared. Finally, phase 2 clinical... 

Most of the principles of inherent safety are useful in the preliminary design phase even most process details are still missing. This is represented in Table 4 which shows in which project phase each inherent safety feature should be considered. In fact the opportunities for installing inherent safety features decrease as the design progresses (Kletz, 1991). It can be seen from Table 4 that most features can be considered in the conceptual and flow sheet stage.

Careful planning of the initial investigation activities is very important because this task sets the stage for future decisions and actions. Physical site characteristics, extent and intensity of contamination, cultural features, and historical background are confirmed in this project phase. Cleanup levels, potential remedial schemes, and probable costs are established with the data derived from the initial work. Regulators typically set conservative closure standards to assure public safety. Once these are established, it is difficult to modify them. Therefore, a truly representative site investigation must be completed before any remediation levels are set. 

All projects involving any significant quantity of LNAPL product recovery require the consideration of economic factors. Careful planning to optimize each project phase can lead to the lowest cost of operation and can occasionally generate positive cash flow, while currently accomplishing aquifer restoration. A basic premise in this discussion is that the recovered LNAPL is suitable for reuse (i.e., as refinery feed stock or fuel for incinerators). Products unsuitable for resale only add to the debit side of the economic equation. 

Between August 1958 and May 1960, a total of 30-35 volunteers took part in one or more of the eight projected phases of this test plan. A lack of records made exact information unavailable, but the IG team suggested that some volunteers might have received 20 or more doses of LSD during that two-year period. 

They are used primarily during FEL project phases.
