PRESSURE HOSE

A small vertical paste extruder can be used to manufacture spaghetti tubing. The small size of this kind of tubing eliminates most of the handling problems associated with larger ones. A vertical machine can extrude upwards or downwards. 

Extrusion conditions are quite similar to those used in wire coating. 

This class of tubing serves critical purposes in a number of industries. The normal size range is from 6 to 50 mm in diameter. The tube sizes in the United States have a special designation. In the industry parlance, they are called by a dash number, such as - 4 (dash four) or -12 (dash twelve). To obtain the diameter of the tube in inches, the number must be multiplied by 1/16, thus, - 4 is equal to 1/4 inch and -12 is equal to 3/4 inch.

Although transformers suitable for other industrial installations are generally suitable for producing applications, certain options may be desirable— primarily due to environmental considerations. At locations subject to harsh environmental conditions, and particularly at locations subject to washdown with high-pressure hoses, non-ventilated enclosures are desirable, if not necessary. CNG dispensing hose uses an impervious inner tube reinforced by a braided over-wrap of stainless steel wire. The inner tube can be teflon or a similar material that is not porous and will not become overly stiff in cold weather. An unusual problem that can occur with high-pressure hose is that if static electricity builds up inside the hose, it may discharge through the hose to the wire reinforcement. When this occurs, a small hole is formed in the inner tube that quickly leads to a leak through the wire reinforcement. Such incidents are rare, but they do occur, caused by the non-conducting properties of the inner tube. There have been no reported incidents of such failures in CNG dispensing hoses.

Different extrusion profile processes can be used such as a robotic profile. A robot delivers the hot melt over or around a substrate. This robotic extrusion process can uses a flexible, heated, high-pressure hose that is connected to the extruder s die exit. The hot melt travels through the hose. At the end of the hose is a nozzle the tip of this nozzle is, in effect the actual profile die. A computer-regulated multiaxis robot controls the positioning of the profile nozzle die. Steel in a wire or filamentary form is commonly used for reinforcement of tires and pressure hoses. It is also used for reinforcement of concrete, although more often than not, for this purpose it is in the form of a rod (diameter greater than 1 cm) rather than a wire. Steel wire with 0.8-0.9 wt% carbon (eutectoid steel) is used in pianos and in steel ropes used as cables in su iension bridges and for other structural purposes. We should emphasize the use of fine diameter steel... 

Suction hoses should be reinforced to resist collapse. They should be larger than pressure hoses, with an inside diameter equal to or larger than the inlet part of the pump. All fittings on suction lines should be as large as or larger than the inlet part of the pump.
