Clothing contaminated

Appropriate protective clothing and equipment should be worn to minimize exposure to methacrylate liquids and vapors. Chemically resistant clothes and gloves and splash-proof safety goggles ate recommended. The working area should be adequately ventilated to limit vapors. Should chemical exposure occur, contaminated clothing should be removed and the affected area washed with copious amounts of water. Medical attention should be sought if symptoms appear. Health and Safety Factors, Toxicology. Phosphoms trichloride severely bums skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Contaminated clothing must be removed immediately. Vapors from minor inhalation exposure can cause delayed onset of severe respiratory symptoms after 2—24 h, depending on the degree of exposure. Delayed, massive, or acute pulmonary edema and death can develop as consequences of inhalation exposure. 

Monoethan olamine and monoisopropan olamine may be moderately toxic by absorption through the skin. The other amines are low in toxicity by this route and are not likely to be absorbed in acutely toxic amounts. In the event of skin contact, clothing and shoes should be removed promptly, and the skin thoroughly washed with water. Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly cleaned before reuse shoes and leather products should be discarded. 

In case of physical contact with sulfuric acid, immediately flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 min while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Wash clothing before reuse and destroy contaminated shoes. 

Ethylene dibromide is a suspected human carcinogen and worker exposure by all routes should be carefiiUy controUed to levels as low as reasonably achievable (67). Ethylene dibromide causes severe blistering of the skin if contact is prolonged. Eye contact with the Hquid will cause pain, irritation, and temporary impairment of vision. Recommended safety equipment includes safety goggles, a NIOSH approved canister-type gas mask for organic vapors, neoprene gloves, and neoprene overshoes. In case of contact with ethylene dibromide, contaminated clothing and shoes should be removed and eyes or skin washed with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Contaminated clothes should be washed before reuse and contaminated shoes should be discarded. 

For handling chi orohydrin s, chemical safety goggles, chemical-resistant gloves, OSHA/MSHA approved respirators, and other protective clothing are required. In case of contact, one should immediately flush eyes or skin with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes and remove contaminated clothing and shoes. If inhaled, the person should be moved to fresh air (72). 

Provision of adequate facilities for washing, changing and storage of clothing, with arrangements for laundering contaminated clothing. 

Any waste material (and contaminated cloths, tissues, clothing etc.) must be rendered safe by chemical means or by controlled incineration of dilute solution where practical prior to disposal. 

Use emergency shower, removing contaminated clothing and shoes at the same time... 

Remove all contaminated clothing, taking care not to contaminate yourself in the process... 

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice Take off immediately all contaminated clothing...
