Add a known volume ofo oaM.AgNOj solution (in excess) and boil the solution until the silver chloride has coagulated. Filter through a conical 5 cm. funnel, ensuring that the filter-paper does not protrude above the r m of the funnel. Wash the silver chloride and the filter-paper several times with a fine jet of distilled water. To the united filtrate and washings add i ml. of saturated ferric alum solution. The solution should be almost colourless if it is more than faintly coloured, add a few drops of concentrated nitric acid. Then titrate with 0 02M-ammonium thiocyanate solution until the permanent colour of ferric thiocyanate is just perceptible. (Alternatively the chloride may be determined potentiometrically.)... 

A different concept is the idea of manufacturing at point of use rather than transporting materials. A simple and familiar example is the office water cooler. The majority that you see around use large bottles of water. These need to be transported and stored and the empty bottles recycled. More than 600 kT of bottled water were imported into the UK in 1999, creating a significant transport impact. The alternative is to chill and filter mains water on-site. The water needs to be filtered and purified to meet consumer perceptions and expectations. These systems use a mixture of purification techniques including advanced filters, UV-disinfection and silver-treated surfaces to give users the confidence they require.

Select azole antifungals (e.g., itraconazole, voriconazole, and posaconazole) and the echinocandins are available for IA treatment. For initial therapy of IA, voriconazole had higher response and survival rates than c-AMB.102 An advantage of voriconazole is its 96% oral bioavailability, making use of this oral drug an attractive and less expensive alternative. The dose of voriconazole was 6 mg/kg IV every 12 hours for two doses, followed by 4 mg/kg IV every 12 hours for at least 7 days, at which time oral voriconazole 200 mg every 12 hours could be administered. Common toxicities reported with voriconazole include infusion-related, transient visual disturbances (i.e., blurred vision, altered color perception, photophobia, and visual hallucinations), skin reactions (i.e., rash, pruritus, and photosensitivity), elevations in hepatic transaminases and alkaline phosphatase, nausea, and headache.102 In addition, voriconazole increases the serum concentrations of medications cleared by cytochrome P-450 2C9, 2C19, and 3A4 (e.g., cyclophosphamide and calcineurin inhibitors) concomitant voriconazole-sirolimus should be avoided.103...

Chlorine gas may be identified readdy by its distinctive color and odor. Its odor is perceptible at 3 ppm concentration in air. Chlorine may be measured in water at low ppm by various titrimetry or colorimetric techniques (APHA, AWWA and WEF. 1999. Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 20th ed. Washington DC American Pubhc Health Association). In iodometric titrations aqueous samples are acidified with acetic acid followed by addition of potassium iodide. Dissolved chlorine liberates iodine which is titrated with a standard solution of sodium thiosulfate using starch indicator. At the endpoint of titration, the blue color of the starch solution disappears. Alternatively, a standardized solution of a reducing agent, such as thiosulfate or phenylarsine oxide, is added in excess to chlorinated water and the unreacted reductant is then back titrated against a standard solution of iodine or potassium iodate. In amperometric titration, which has a lower detection limit, the free chlorine is titrated against phenyl arsine oxide at a pH between 6.5 and 7.5. 

Elemental composition Os 74.82%, 0 25.18%. The compound can be identified by its physical properties, such as, odor, color, density, melting-, and boiling points. Its acrid odor is perceptible at concentrations of 0.02 mg/hter in air. Since damaged neural tissue cannot easily replicate, glial and other nonconducting cells may proliferate and occupy the space of the dead neurons, and the damage may be expressed as deficits of sensory and motor functions and behavior. Alternatively, other neurons may take on the functions of the damaged neurons such that there is little or no perceptible damage.
