In this paper, the effect of the pseudopotential term, arising from the quantum mechanical correction to classical mechanism (V ), on the torsional levels of hydrogen peroxide and deuterium peroxide is evaluated. The V operator, depends on the first and second derivatives with respect to the torsional coordinate of the determinant of the g inertia matrix and on the first derivatives of the B kinetic energy parameter of the vihrational Hamiltonian. V has heen determined for each nuclear conformation from the optimized coordinates obtained using MP2/AUG-cc-pVTZ ah initio calculations. 

Based on the information available today on the DEZ process, Wei T o process, Koppers process, and VPD process, it is very difficult to judge which process is the best suited to a mass deacidification process. In addition to the limitations of each process which has been discussed, data are lacking to support long-term effects on treated papers. In order to select a viable mass deacidification process, the following parameters have to be considered ... 

Recent approaches directed toward preventing oxidation of cotton cloth included using accelerated aging of alkaline-treated cotton cloth for neutralization of acidic, oxidized, cellulose decomposition components that in cellulosic textiles and in paper are responsible for age tendering and yellowing. Conclusions regarding the relative effectiveness of treatments at room temperature were based on results of treatments at one elevated temperature (8). Predictions of long-term effects of these treatments are unknown (9). 

The use of glass is not restricted to the cases mentioned above. In this paper, we present a comprehensive review of the various techniques that are available to prevent formation of AMD, and compare these techniques for their long-term effectiveness, cost, and impacts. In addition, we highlight emerging technologies that may be used to address AMD. Insights from this paper may help researchers and environmental engineers to select suitable methods for addressing site-specific AMD problems.

ABSTRACT The paper presents the problem of the effectiveness of the national transport system in terms of the cost of emissions. It sets out the general principles of research methodology, taking into account actual emissions from vehicles. The paper formalized effectiveness indicators for road transport modeling of such systems. Transport effectiveness is characterized by significant difficulties in the study due to the large scale of the system as well as many of the entities involved and the need to take into account their interests. Transport is a very important sector of the economy contributing to its development and the development of societies. In view of the above, the paper also presents an example of research on the identification of Polish areas with increased emissions in a macro scale. This article is the result of works done in the project EMITRANSYS funded by the National Centre for Research and Development in Poland. 

Ethylene oxide is used industrially to increase the wet strength of paper by reacting with the cellulose in paper to create another, stronger molecule. Thus conservators should be aware that using ethylene oxide on cellulosic materials may produce similar molecular changes. The long-term effects of such changes are not yet known, but... 

Plastics are also energy-efficient compared with traditional materials [1].
