Outline of this Report

Because of a shift in emphasis and the absence of further work on the Daphniphyllum alkaloids, the outline of this Report differs somewhat from that in Chapter 16 of Volume 1. [Pg.248]

Report of the Commission on Enzymes, International Union of Biochemistry Symposium, Vol. 20, Pergamon Press, New York, 1961. A discussion and an outline of this Report is given by R. H. S. Thompson, Nature, 193, 1227 (1962). [Pg.85]

Safety Review. The safety review was perhaps the very first hazard analysis procedure developed. The procedure begins by the preparation of a detailed safety review report. The purpose of this report is to provide the relevant safety information regarding the process or operation. This report is generally prepared by the process engineer. A typical outline for this report follows. [Pg.470]

The nomenclature system outlined in this report follows many customary terpene practices but also conforms to established nomenclature rules and practices. The resulting terpene-like names are much simpler than the strict systematic names formed according to IUPAC rules. Replacement of the currently used common terpene names by the recommended ter-pene-like pseudosystematic names will facilitate ready recognition of the terpene hydrocarbon structures and will aid in integrating terpene chemistry with the entire field of organic chemistry. Extension of the hydrocarbon rules to the naming of functional derivatives will simplify and unify nomenclature within the terpene field. [Pg.104]

After a short report on the discovery of the quaternary borocarbide superconductors in Section 1.1, for comparison a limited survey of other superconductors based on boron and/or carbon will be presented in Section 1.2 whereas the interplay of superconductivity and magnetism in other materials is discussed in Section 1.3. At the end of this section some special features of the RNi2B2C compounds and review articles in this field can be found in Section 1.4 as well as the further outline of this chapter. [Pg.180]

This introductory section describes the purpose, scope, and intended audience for this report discusses the definition and application of ecological risk assessment outlines the basic elements of the proposed framework and describes the organization of this report. [Pg.431]

The outline of this chapter is as following. The experimental details are reported in Section 8.2. The results are presented and discussed in Section 8.3. Conclusions are given in Section 8.4. [Pg.140]

The literature is filled with reports on dust explosion incidents, some of them with disastrous consequences. In his book Explosions , Bartknecht provides a short historical outline of first reports describing dust explosions and milestones of their research [79]. According to this survey, one of the first reports dates back to 1785 and describes the destruction of a flour storage building. In general, most accidents occurred in either the food or the mining industry. In 1844 Faraday discovered, that coal dust is explosible. [Pg.239]

Nonetheless, the points presented below identify some common examples of how the general developmental volatility characteristics over time of information management and technology systems can affect continued operability of facilities such as those that are the subject of this report. This outline should not be interpreted as a communication that any or all of the points on this list are threatening at any chemical demilitarization facility or have not been addressed at those facilities. Rather, it is intended to communicate many of the things that were considered during the conunittee s review of information management at the facilities. [Pg.73]

The aim of our contribution is to outline important recent advances and applications achieved in the area of solid state NMR based on the literature published between July 2003 and June 2004. A very large number of papers making use of solid state NMR techniques have been published during this period, however, not all of these papers have been included in this report. Specifically, over 700 references that included solid state NMR and related terms either in the title or in the keywords were initially retrieved for the preparation of this report, and approximately half of these were included in the final report. In choosing sources for this report we have aimed at highlighting publications that uses solid state NMR as the only or the primary technique for structural and/or dynamics studies of solid materials as well as those that have applied the technique in an innovative manner. In selecting references, we have also aimed at illustrating diversity of problems and subject areas covered by modern solid state NMR applications. [Pg.253]

At such a point, an agonizing reappraiseLL of the whole instrumentation and control package Is generally Initiated to determine the proper course of action with respect to plant life and future plant operation The objective of this report is to begin this appraisal and outline a course of action ... [Pg.8]

The working group recommended that IAEA should take initiative for the preparation of a next version of a GCR status report. IAEA was willing to prepare an outline of a report for distribution to working group members for review and comments. The finally accepted outline should provide the basis for subsequent contributions of member states. An expanded outline has been prepared. The next step is to develop a first draft based on inputs firom Member States. This is anticipated for early 1996. [Pg.269]

The aim of this report is to review the progress in the field of NMR relaxation in fluids. The outline of this chapter follows closely that of the previous two volumes. The emphasis is on comparatively simple liquids and solutions of physico-chemieal and ehemical interest, in analogy with the previous periods, but selected biophysies-related topics and relaxation-related work on more complex systems (maeromoleeular solutions, liquid crystalline systems, glassy and porous materials) are also covered. The period under review is from June 2011 through May 2012. Some earlier work, overlooked in the last year s chapter, is also included. [Pg.250]

The technique of neutron scattering has been used in the study of macromolecules for several years. A previous review in this series outlined the early contributions to the field up to 1978. The aim of this report is to review the work that has been published from that date up to the present time. [Pg.203]

The main sections of this report, addressed to all above mentioned groups of stakeholders, survey emerging energy market characteristics and draw a rationale for small reactors without on-site refuelling provide a summary and an assessment of major design specifications, applications and user-related special features for the surveyed reactor concepts review the design status and targeted deployment dates and outline the possible fuel cycle approaches. [Pg.863]

Prepare an outline of the report during the first week, share it with project team members, and ask for their input. This effort will improve communication within the project team. You all will be more aligned regarding the project and thus more likely to avoid internally-driven scope creep. During the second week, give the revised report outline to the professor or professors responsible for the course and/or to the external... [Pg.221]

The focus of this report is to investigate and improve the synthesis of bis-(3-trimethoxysilylpropyl)fiimarate and develop a method to synthesize the bis-(3-trimethoxysilylpropyl)maleate isomer. This paper also outlines some of the analytical methods used to characterize and quantify the intermediates and isomers obtained during the synthesis. [Pg.476]

Seaborg s excellent review, published in 1968, still serves as a good introduction to the subject. During the period of this report, general reviews have appeared from Flerov, where ref. 3(b) in particular includes a useful summary of Russian work, from Herrmann and Seyb and from Greiner. Less detailed surveys are due to Lombard, Seaborg, Flerov, and Seaborg et al. ° This last paper outlines recent work in the U.S.A. [Pg.38]

The staff acknowledges the effort outlined in Section 5.8 of this report and concludes that execution of the program offered in Section 5.8 will satisfy the restart criterion for all of the reactor physics computer codes. [Pg.230]

All interviews were recorded and subject to rough transcription in searchable (digital) form. No formal coding method was employed. Given our focus on neoliberalism, our emphasis has been on interpretation, as opposed to quantitative assessments of change. To support the veracity of our interpretations, all interview data were reviewed twice, first for the purpose of producing individual site visit reports, and later as based on an initial outline of this chapter. [Pg.39]

To shed some light on this we have recently coiq>leted a detailed MNDO SCF MO study of aspects of the energy hypersurface for diphenyl carbonate as a model for the chromophore system of Bisphenol A polycarbonate. We report here the main outline of this work. [Pg.20]

Details of the Reactor Coolant Segment component masses are given in the respective sections of this report. These individual masses were used in calculating a combined mass of each energy conversion architecture outlined in Section 6. [Pg.104]
