Nafcillin Sodium Nafcillin sodium is not compatible with other antibacterials, including aminoglycosides, acidic drugs, and alkaline drugs. 

Pentozocine Lactate Injections of pentozocine lactate are incompatible with sodium bicarbonate, barbiturates, diazepam, chlordiazepoxide, glycopyrronium bromide, and nafcillin sodium. Dependence, withdrawal, and treatment of adverse effects are generally similar to those of opioid analgesics. 

Pethidine Hydrochloride Pethidine hydrochloride solutions are not compatible with barbiturates, aminophylline, morphine sulfate, sulfadiazine sodium, methicilline sodium, nitrofurantoin, phenytoin sodium, heparin sodium, sodium iodide, diethanolamine, sulfafurazol, acyclovir sodium, liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride, frusemide, imipenem, and idarubicin. Visual incompatibilities are reported with mixtures of pethidine hydrochloride and cefoperazone sodium or mezlocillin sodium, nafcillin sodium and minocycline hydrochloride or tetracycline hydrochloride in 5% glucose injection.82 83... 

Verapamil hydrochloride is incompatible with alkaline preparations and drugs such as aminophylline, nafcillin sodium, and sodium bicarbonate.128129... 

Droperidol Droperidol has pH-dependent incompatibility with many drugs. It is not compatible with nafcillin sodium, fluorouracil, folic acid, frusemide, heparin, methotrexate, or barbiturates. Droperidol should not be stored in PVC bags containing intravenous infusions, although some solutions appear to be stable.157... 

Bleomycin Bleomycin is incompatible and loses its potency if it is administered with solutions of benzylpenicillin sodium, carbenicillin, cephazolin or cephalothin sodium, hydrocortisone sodium succinate, mitomycin, methotrexate, nafcillin sodium, aminophylline, ascorbic acid, terbutaline, divalent and trivalent cations (especially copper), compounds containing sulfhydryl groups, and precipitation by hydrophobic anions, essential amino acids, riboflavine, dexamethasone, and frusemide.

Nafcillin. sodium may be used in infections cau.sed solely by penicillin G-resislant staphylococci or when streptococci are present also. Although it is recommended that it be used exclu.sively for such resi.stant infections, nafcillin is also effective against pneumococci and group A hemolytic streptococci. Because, like other penicillins, it may cau.se allergic side cffcct.s. it should be administered with care.
