In general, it seems more reasonable to suppose that in chemisorption specific sites are involved and that therefore definite potential barriers to lateral motion should be present. The adsorption should therefore obey the statistical thermodynamics of a localized state. On the other hand, the kinetics of adsorption and of catalytic processes will depend greatly on the frequency and nature of such surface jumps as do occur. A film can be fairly mobile in this kinetic sense and yet not be expected to show any significant deviation from the configurational entropy of a localized state.

Mica mining is subjected to local, state, and federal laws. The Mining, Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) regularly monitors mica mining operations for safety violations. 

Spills and leaks should be cleaned up with alkano1 amine-compatible absorbents or sands. Local, state, and federal requirements should be followed for disposal. Incineration in an approved faciUty is suggested for final disposal.

The neutral hquid, a salt solution, can be flushed iato sewer systems (86). 

Solution polymerization can use various solvents, primarily aUphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. The choice of solvent is usually dictated by cost, avaHabihty, solvency, toxicity, flammabiUty, and polymer stmcture. SSBR polymerization depends on recovery and reuse of the solvent for economical operation as well as operation under the air-quaUty perrnitting of the local, state, and federal mandates involved. 

Under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and LiabiHty Act (CERCLA)/RCRA regulations in effect at the end of 1986 bromine is regulated as a hazardous waste or material. Therefore, it must be disposed of in an approved hazardous waste faciHty in compliance with EPA and/or other appHcable local, state, and federal regulations and should be handled in a manner acceptable to good waste management practice. Semiconductivity in oxide glasses involves polarons. As the electron moves, the distortion moves with it through the lattice. Personnel and equipment need to be decontaminated in the CRZ.
