Once a consumer has purchased a material made of a polymer, the likelihood of it being recycled is dramatically reduced. In the United States there are three resins that are commonly recycled polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyethylene terephthalate, SPI (The Society of the Plastics Industry) recycling codes, found on the bottom of food containers, provide the consumer with information as to the recyclability of the material. Table 17,1 lists these codes.

These alternatives nonetheless can also serve to simplify the protection of trade secret information. For example, lists of substances found in the workplace can be posted on bulletin boards with specific warnings as to the secret nature of the information. Some employers include this information in training booklets rather than posting them. In other cases, employers may label hazardous chemicals with coded information, the meaning of which can be made available to employees on request. These are only examples of alternatives that can simplify trade secret problems. No single approach is likely to be ideal for every workplace. 

In particular, as we have already said, a strictly fixed sequence of different monomer units in a chain of a biopolymer can naturally be compared to a text written with the appropriate molecular alphabet . Listed Wastes Codes Each listed hazardous waste has one or more codes and Table 27-2 lists the hazard codes. Many hazardous wastes meet the definition of more than one waste type. If a hazardous waste becomes mixed with a solid waste, usually the resulting mixture is a hazardous waste. This prevents dilution as a way to seek exception from regulation. 

The determination of the Isothermal temperature coefficients required the estimation of temperature effects on radial buckling, and on bottom extrapolation distance. Derwent provides all big patent assignees (circa 21,000 companies) with a four-number code, which remains the same even after a change of name. Derwent calls them Standard Companies. Even smaller companies are awarded a code, but they have to share it with others and is not suitable for searching. A list of codes, following the abbreviations as well as the corporate and institute names, is contained in the manual World Patents Index Patentee Codes. Patentees in pre-1970 documents are searchable exclusively by means of this code.
