Printing Labels

Many companies have developed or purchased computer software for the purpose of storing stability data for a large number of studies. Examples of commercially available systems are SLIM [147] and Stability System [148]. These systems can perform other functions as well, including work scheduling, preparation of summaries of selected or all studies in the system, tabulation of data for individual studies, label printing, statistical analysis and plotting, and search capabilities. Such systems should be validated to keep pace with current regulatory activity [149],...

Various databases can also be output by the interpreter, e.g. lists of element and species names, text files for labeling printed and plotted output, and a symbolic reaction matrix. This information is distributed to individual ASCII files, from which they may be read by subsequent parts of the simulation package for use in the appropriate task. 

In the context of printing plastics, the Nyloprint photo-polymer plate appears to be the most popular in the areas of narrow-web rotary-letterpress label printing and rotary-offset letterpress printing of plastic tubs and tubes. 

All samples logged into the system may require a "sampling" step before any testing can be conducted. The sampling step is optional, as defined in the configuration tables, and allows any pre-test processing, such as label printing, that may be required.

There are two extra buttons visible on the display in Figure 1.8. The one labelled Print has the obvious use that the calculation result can be printed on your active printer. The one labelled tt, 5... facilities the use of the permutation result to calculate the characters and direct sum components for the higher-order harmonics of the permutation character and... 

By default, a certain software program printed teaspoonful for any syrup preparation when a numerical figure was not followed by a specific measure, such as ml, for the dose. A prescription for Viml albuterol syrup every 6 h for a 9 week-old infant was presented to the pharmacy, and the pharmacist entered Vi into the computer but did not enter ml. Therefore, by default, the label printed /i teaspoonful every 6h if needed for wheezing. The child was administered the overdose and was consequently admitted to the hospital emergency room for observation. Fortunately, the child was released with no permanent damage. 

Legible - Always check label print size and quality to ensure that it can be read clearly. If there is too much information to place on one label, consider placing the additional information on a secondary label, rather than reducing the size of the print or trying to include too much information on a single label. 

The above labelling methods are listed in ascending order of cost using for example a label printed in two colours, size 90x63 mm, prices quoted in Table 5.2 are per 1,000 labels delivered, based on orders of 100,000 and 10,000 using 1991... 

After fabrication, e.g. two-piece metal cans, glass and plastic containers, collapsible metal tubes. Containers are manufactured and then printed or decorated by a secondary process. Since material and container shape impose certain restrictions, i.e. process used, design limitations, etc. some fabricated containers may use labels, printed sleeving, etc. rather than a direct decoration/printing process.

Appliques or surface coverings can be applied using heat or pressure by different methods, e.g., hot stamping, decals, hot transfer, water transfer, in-mould decorating. Decals are decorations or labels printed on carriers such as paper or plastic with a pressure-sensitive adhesives. 

Electronic data processing labels, printed by computers, are almost entirely with paper fa-cestock. Information of many kinds, including addresses, is printed on these labels.
