Labeled node

It is often helpful to start with an initial informal sketch of the main terms and concepts, drawn as a concept map. It serves as a concrete starting point for capturing the vocabulary used and the relationships between terms (see Figure 14.9). A concept map is simply a graph of labeled nodes and labeled (preferably directed) edges. We do not try to formalize the map or even worry much about distinguishing objects, types, actions, and associations. The concept map can serve as the starting point for the type model and collaborations. [Pg.590]

Use the part called BUBBLE to label the nodes of interest. If you do not label nodes with BUBBLES, Capture will label the nodes for you and you will not know which node is which. [Pg.192]

Before using concept mapping as activity it is needed to familiarise students with the operational definitions of terms applied, such as concept, label, node, linking relationship, proposition, cross-link. In general, the procedure for constructing new concept maps can be described in terms of four (partly overlapping) phases ... [Pg.196]

If the nodes of a graph are marked (e.g., witli digits), the graph is termed labeled. In the example, node I is adfacent to node 2 bnt not to node 3. [Pg.33]

The thermodynamics and physical properties of the mixture to be separated are examined. VLE nodes and saddles, LLE binodal curves, etc, are labeled. Critical features and compositions of interest are identified. A stream is selected from the source Hst. This stream is either identified as meeting all the composition objectives of a destination, or else as in need of further processing. Once an opportunistic or strategic operation is selected and incorporated into the flow sheet, any new sources or destinations are added to the respective Hsts. If a strategic separation for dealing with a particular critical feature has been implemented, then that critical feature is no longer of concern. Alternatively, additional critical features may arise through the addition of new components such as a MSA. The process is repeated until the source Hst is empty and all destination specifications have been satisfied. [Pg.450]

A tree is read from root to leaves. We begin at the root of the tree which contains all the population. Then, following the relevant branches according to the question asked at each branch node, we finally reach a leaf node. The label on that leaf node provides the class which is the resulting conclusion induced from the tree. [Pg.119]

A relationship between the numbers A and corresponds to the similarity of the two equations (2.36) and ( ) [of (2.37) and (1 )]. Choose a topological planted tree counted by with n nodes of the same species. Then label these n nodes individually. The resulting... [Pg.48]

Reductive amination of AT-succinyl chitosan and lactose using sodium cyanoborohydride in a phosphate buffer (pH 6.0) for 6 days was suitable for the preparation of lactosaminated M-succinyl chitosan (Fig. 3). Over 10% of dose/g-tissue was distributed to the prostate and lymph nodes at 48 h postadministration in both chitosan and lactosaminated N-succinyl chitosan. The labeled lactosaminated M-succinyl chitosan was easily distributed into not only the liver but also prostate, intestine, preputial gland and lymph nodes [153]. [Pg.169]

The constraint transformation algorithm accepts a network of goals partially ordered by constraints, and generates a constraint network of primitive actions, such that, if there exists a directed path from goal A to goal B (i.e., A must be achieved before B) in the first network, and if OP-A is the primitive action that achieves goal A, and OP-B the action that accomplishes B, then OP-A and OP-B are labels on nodes in the generated network, and there exists a directed path from the node labeled with OP-A to the node labeled with OP-B. [Pg.60]

Any node, v, which is on a directed path from any source, is labeled with x. Let A, be the set of nodes labeled with x, and let E be the set of associated edges. Nodes labeled with x, and tht attached edges contain the chemical species. [Pg.61]

Clearly, if under the worst-case scenario no node can be found in the IGs that is labeled with all species present in a mixing constraint, then no potential violation of a mixing constraint exists. If, on the other hand, a potential violation has been detected, then we need to generate additional constraints on the temporal ordering of primitive operations so that we can prevent or negate the preconditions of a mixing constraint. [Pg.62]

Identify all locations of a plant where a certain species must be purged. To accomplish this it is sufficient to scan the labels of the nodes in the IGs and identify those nodes that are labeled, e.g. and Xj in two successive operating states, where (Xj, Xj) is a prohibited mixture of chemicals. [Pg.64]

In the catenary model of Fig. 39.14a we have a reservoir, absorption and plasma compartments and an elimination pool. The time-dependent contents in these compartments are labelled X, X, and X, respectively. Such a model can be transformed in the 5-domain in the form of a diagram in which each node represents a compartment, and where each connecting block contains the transfer function of the passage from one node to another. As shown in Fig. 39.14b, the... [Pg.487]

For patients with melanomas that are at risk of spreading to the lymph nodes, a sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy is performed. The SLN, the first lymph node to receive lymph draining from the tumor, is identified by injecting a radioactive material, technetium-99m-labeled radiocolloids, and vital... [Pg.1432]
