Instrument, instruments panels

Electrical leads. They run from the probe to the current source and instrument panel. 

Control system. Current source (batteries), ammeter, voltmeter, instrument panel, and so on. 

Think of the pump curve like the dashboard or control panel of a car. No one would operate a car without the dash instrumentation panel. 

Two furnaces were each fitted with a temperature recorder controller and high-temperature trip. The two recorders were side by side on the instrument panel in the control room, with the recorder for A furnace on the left (Figure 3-2). 

Molded urethanes are used in items such as bumpers, steering wheels, instrument panels, and body panels. Elastomers from polyurethanes are characterized by toughness and resistance to oils, oxidation, and abrasion. They are produced using short-chain polyols such as polytetram-ethylene glycol from 1,4-butanediol. Polyurethanes are also used to produce fibers. Spandex (trade name) is a copolymer of polyurethane (85%) and polyesters. 

Most AR coatings are still produced by evaporation but CVD is gradually introduced particularly in applications with three-dimensional surfaces or deep recesses. AR coatings are used in numerous applications, which include lasers, lenses for cameras and binoculars, instrument panels, microscopes, telescopes, range finders, etc., as well as on automotive and architectural glasses. 

The recycling of contaminated polyurethane waste is described with reference to a glycolysis process developed by Bayer and Daimler-Benz in which the wastes from three-layer composite instrument panels are treated. The reuse of contaminated PU is achieved by dispersely integrating the impurities in the secondary polyol during the glycolytic dissociation. The impurities are modified in such a way that they act as a filler in the secondary polyol. 3 refs. 

Fig. 2 demonstrates the light stability of a high-solid lacquer based on two-component polyurethane. The loss of gloss was measured as a function of the irradiation time in a QUV instrument (Q-Panel Company, Cleveland Ohio). The figure also shows that a particularly good...

In GM s Hy-wire hydrogen powered concept vehicle, there is a fuel cell for the power source and electronics replace mechanical parts in the steering and braking systems. The driver looks through a large, sloped windshield that covers space usually taken up by an engine. There is no dashboard, instrument panel, steering wheel or pedals, only a set of adjustable footrests.
