Construction modules of Bobtex ICS machine. Based on a diagram in Mohamed (1973). [Pg.154]

The schematic of the Bobtex ICS machine is shown in Fig. 8.5 and a picture of the Bobtex Mkl ICS is given in Fig. 8.6. From the diagram. Fig. 8.5, it can be seen that a yarn, (called the core, carrier or filament) was taken from a supply package and passed through an extrusion unit where it was coated with molten polymer (resin). The coated yarn passed down to a laminating... [Pg.154]

As a long time yarn technologist, if given the opportunity to acquire one piece of spinning equipment, a Bobtex ICS machine would be always the first choice, and this is a view shared by colleagues with similar interests. [Pg.171]

Details of protection (IP) and methods of cooling (IC) are defined in Part 5 and Part 6, respectively. They conform to lEC Standards. 1.25a OPEN MACHINE (IPOO, ICOl)... [Pg.648]

A totally enclosed air-to-water-cooled machine is a totally enclosed machine which is cooled by circulating air which, in turn, is cooled by circulating water. It is provided with a water-cooled heat exchanger, integral (IC7 W) or machine mounted (IC8 W), for cooling the internal air and a fan or fans, integral with the rotor shaft (IC 1W) or separate (IC 5W) for circulating the internal air. [Pg.649]

Semiconductor Production Integrated circuits (ICs) are the major product of the semiconductor industry, and their production involves the use of hundreds of materials, products, and processes. Many different machines are used in the wafer fabrication step and these machines need to be cleaned periodically. Most machine cleaning is performed with CFC-113. [Pg.227]

At this point it is useful to conduct a thought experiment. Consider a system for which the only possible measurement is by a Stern-Gerlach machine oriented along the z-axis. In other words, assume that once the probability for coming out of the machine spin up is known, every physically predictable feature of the state is known. Then the pair (c+, c ) e would contain more information than is necessary. Only c+p and c P would have physical meaning, and because of the condition Ic+I - - c 1 = 1, even these two real numbers are dependent. Thus the phase space of this hypothetical system... [Pg.306]

Industrial-type Hazards—-with the objective of identifying hazard sources in electrical, mechanical, illumination, and non-emergency communication fields. Developments have included (a) advanced remote surveillance and communication systems, (hi portable-area illumination systems. Ic) trolley-phone wireless systems, and (d) protective canopies for use on underground low-coal machines. [Pg.400]

One of the most important challenges before modern chemistry is to understand the nature of processes responsible for the formation of complex multi-component structures. Such assemblies are synthesized with the intention of obtaining products with desired properties and potentially being used as molecular machines [ 1 ]. There are several classes of compounds which can form multi-component structures [2], and inclusion complexes (ICs) are one of the most important. Synthetic procedures and structural studies of inclusion compounds have been exhaustively discussed and described in several textbooks [3]. The nature of host-guest interactions, the spatial arrangement of components, and the character of inter-molecular contacts have been analyzed different techniques in the liquid and solid phase [4]. [Pg.92]

Metal in gap (MIG) heads or ferrite ones are produced with a combination of machining, bonding, and thin film processes. Tliin-film inductive heads are manufactured by thin-film processes similar to the semiconductor IC technology (see Section III). Tliin-film head production process, however, is rather unique as it involves both, very thin and very thick films. We choose to present here a detailed summary of the fabrication process of thin-film inductive heads with a single-layer spiral coil. This should serve, once again, to illustrate the centrally important role of electrochemical deposition in coimection with modem IT. [Pg.394]

There is a large number of possible variations for the parallel hybrid configuration, besides that shown in Fig. 5.18, proposed by most of the major automobile companies. Some of them, for example, have a small electric machine in line with the crankshaft, where is usually located the flywheel in a IC engine vehicle. Another parallel hybrid configuration has the IC engine and the electric drive connected to different axles, as shown in Fig. 5.19, in particular in this case the IC engine drives the front wheels, the electric system the rear wheels and the road... [Pg.159]
