Household cleaners liquid detergents

LD = laundry detergents, DW = dishwashing liquids, ADW = automatic dishwasher detergents, HC = household cleaners, FC = fabric conditioners... [Pg.250]

Choose acids or alkalis to render the optimum pH for best performance of surfactants and enzymes (typically 6-8 for dishwashing liquids, 9.5-11 for laundry detergents, and 8-12 for allpurpose household cleaners). [Pg.254]

Ordinary all-purpose household cleaner is sold in concentrated liquid form, and requires dilution by consumers before application. This potentially causes either wastage or overdosing as the consumer is left alone to judge the correct amount of detergent to use. In addition, acid/alkali bums for consumers are not uncommon during the dilution process. Hence a demand for a more convenient product is apparent in the market. [Pg.266]

K. Wisniewski, Specialty liquid household surface cleaners, in K. Y. Lai, (ed.), Liquid detergents, Marcel Dekker, New York, 1997. [Pg.273]

Household ammonia, liquid window cleaners, liquid all-purpose cleaners and various other household cleaning products constitute this small market for ammonia. Ammonia is also used in the manufacture of ammonium salts of alcohol, ether and sulfates. These compounds are widely used as surfactants in detergents that are in liquid dishwashing formulations57. [Pg.201]

Like other liquid detergents, household surface cleaners have been produced in recent years with added benefits beyond their simple cleaning action. These added benefits include disinfection, surface shine, prevention of tenacious soil adhesion, and reduced fogging. [Pg.14]

The hydrophilic groups of anionic surfactants consist in most cases of sulfonate, sulfate, or carboxyl groups (Table 30.1). Amongst them, LAS are produced in the largest quantities worldwide. These are mainly used in powdery and liquid laundry detergents and household cleaners. [Pg.1174]

Water soluble. Exceptionally stable in alkali systems with outstanding compatibility in concentrated electrolyte solutions. Effective agent for coupling nonlonlc surfactants with liquid, alkali detergent systems. Excellent detergency in hard-surface and household cleaners. Moderate foamer. [Pg.119]

Cleaning. Cellulose ethers are used as rheology modifiers in many household products, e.g. in liquid detergents and cleaners. They also contribute to stabilization and binding. [Pg.254]

Decay curves whose shape can be described by multi-exponential functions under constant climatic conditions are generally observed. In contrast, the emission properties of substances from household products are related to human activities. Therefore, emission properties of household products depend on how the products are used. For example, moth crystals and toilet deodorizers are designed for continuous use. Consequently, they emit volatile components at a constant emission rate. On the other hand, spontaneous release of VOC from sprays, waxes, liquid cleaners and other detergents leads to short-time high concentrations, which decay rapidly. [Pg.350]

TERPINEOL 101 is a natural, high-purity grade of the tertiary terpene alcohol a/p/ut-terpineol. Derived by iiactional distillation of oils extracted from pinewood, it is a water-white, oily liquid at normal temperatures with an odor suggestive of lilacs. Its chemical nature, pleasant floral odor, and surface-active properties account for its usefulness to the essential-oil industry and to manufacturers of disinfectants, household and industrial soaps, detergents, cleaners, and other chemical specialties. [Pg.352]

Versatile heavy duty cleaner concentrate specially developed for the formulation of economy laundry detergents, liquid dish-washes, and household/industrial cleaner products. [Pg.60]

As a broad spectrum microbicide with long lasting activity Tinosan is used in home and fabric care products such as dishwashing liquids, laundry detergents, fabric softeners, surface cleaner. Addition rates move between 0.3-0.6%. The incorporation of the pumpable formulation is easy. The persistant activity after application of Tinosan containing household products has been confirmed and reported by Ochs et al. (1999). [Pg.566]
