Instead of including all assets in a single depreciation account, it is possible to classify properties into general types, such as machinery and equipment, office furniture and fixtures, buildings, and transportation equipment. The records for these groups are known as classified accounts. A classified account is similar to a composite account because many items are included in the same group, regardless of life characteristics. [Pg.290]

Polyester resins possess premium performance properties such as exterior durability, gloss, flexibility hardness, color stability, and versatility of cure. Polyesters are used in product finishes for household appliances, food and beverage containers, aircraft and equipment, automotive primers and bake coats, metal furniture, and fixtures. For example, water-soluble saturated polyesters are used in industrial baking paints, and in combination with melamine resin. Polyesters can be formulated in high solids and waterborne formulations to meet the requirements for the low VOC coatings being mandated by the EPA. [Pg.223]

Initially the site and procedure must be organized specifically with the manufacture of fireworks in mind. This includes details on workers, workrooms, tools, furniture and fixtures, machines and containers. [Pg.297]

The 85 X 85 matrix in Table 4.4a contains a wealth of information useful to the chemical professional. Tables 4.6-4.8, which illustrate several important aspects of the sales patterns found in the United States, are typical examples. There is a wide variation among industries in the proportion of total output going to final demand. Some industries (e.g., construction [11 and 12], food and kindred products [14], apparel [18], furniture and fixtures [22 and 23]) sell most of their products directly to final demand. Other industries (e.g., nonmetallic minerals [9 and 10], lumber and wood products [20 and 21], metallic ores mining [5] metal containers [39]) sell practically all their output to intermediate consumers. The CPI and related industries fit mostly in the latter category (Table 4.6). [Pg.136]

Table 4.16 shows the total coefficients as taken from Table 4.15 of food and kindred products [14], apparel [18], furniture and fixtures [22 and 23], drugs [29A], cleaning and toilet preparations [29B], construction [11 and 12], household appliances [54], and motor vehicles [59A] for the input requirements of the CPI and related industries. [Pg.152]

In ttie sectors in which the two substances that were the special focus of our study are most commonly found - printing, publishing and allied industries wood furniture and fixtures industries and fabricated metal products - risk management was not generally perceived as an issue by owners and managers. The role of monitoring compliance with OELs was therefore minimal. [Pg.245]
