Lump Sum contract contractor manages and executes specified work to an agreed delivery date for a fixed price. Penalties may be due for late completion of the work, and this provides an incentive for timely completion. Payment may be staged when agreed milestones are reached.

In the cubicle construction of a switchgear assembly the busbar chamber is normally located at the top of the assembly and runs through the length of it. It is usually suitable for extension, through fish joints at either end, if required at a later date. For installations having top cable entry, the busbar chamber may also be located at the bottom of the assembly or the depth of the panel increased, with an additional shroud between the top busbar chamber and cable chamber. Installation of a shut-off valve in the expander exhaust line prevents baekflow during expander isolation (Figure 6-37). Nationwide, plants that emit SO2 at a rate below 1.2 Ibs/mm Btu will be able to increase emissions by 20% between a baseline year and 2000. Bonus allowances will be distributed to accommodate growth by units in states with a statewide average below 0.8 Ibs/mm Btu. Plants experiencing increases in their utilization in the last five years also receive bonus allowances, 50,000 bonus allowances per year are allocated to plants in 10 mid western states that make reductions in Phase I. Plants that repower with a qualifying clean coal technology may receive a 4 year extension of the compliance date for Phase II emission limitations. 

Since the adjustments for inflation are so large, it is important to fix the date for historical data as closely as possible. For instance, a historical cost estimate from a vendor or contractor for equipment to be delivered in two years would have escalation built in, so the index should be for two years later, when the equipment was expected to be manufactured. However, data based on purchased equipment delivered on a certain date should use the index for the date the equipment was manufactured.

As part of the verification plan, you should include an activity plan that lists all the planned activities in the sequence they are to be conducted and use this plan to record completion and conformance progressively. The activity plan should make provision for planned and actual dates for each activity and for recording comments such as recovery plans when the program does not proceed exactly as planned. Don t wait until the due date for the completion of the action to check if work has started. 

Any schedule you develop should reflect both the tasks you have defined and the resources available for accomplishing them. In addition, the implementation schedule in some cases may depend on a predetermined end date. For this reason, schedule and resource requirement tasks should be seen as interdependent it s realistic to expect that you may need more than one iteration before both are firmly established. 

I As you develop your network of tasks, you will quickly realize that not only are tasks within one priority area interrelated, but there are also relationships with other priority areas. These relationships will determine the order in which some tasks are completed and the resources you need to apply to complete them by a given date. For example, the team will need to develop programs and elements before they develop the contents of a training program, yet the training program itself may be a vital part of the process for developing individual responsibilities for that content.

Microporous insulation materials consist mainly of highly dispersed silica with a particle size of only 5-30 nm. The highly dispersed silica powder is pressed to plates, which receive heat treatment up to 800 °C, after which the plates are self-supporting and possess a micropore structure with pore diameter of 0.1pm. The addition of opacifiers to the highly dispersed silica starting material reduces the loss of heat by radiation. The dates for such insulation boards are shown in Table 18.
