Credit institution

The chapter in Capifat lit on the role of credit in capitalist production is silent about its possible role in the early stages of capitalism. In Capital t, p. >09 there is a brief reference to the fact that "certain spheres of production demand, even at the very outset of capitalist production, a minimum of capital that is not as yet found in the hands of single individuals", Among the possible remedies Mane mentions state subsidies to private persons and the formation of societies H ith legal monopoly for the exploitation of certain branches of industry and commerce - but he does not cite banking and private credit institutions,... 

The next group of Pfandbriefe issuers are classified as public sector credit institutions. The most significant of these are the Landesbanks and the DGZ-DekaBank (an umbrella organisation). 

Their bankruptcy remoteness is greatly enhanced through one of the most reassuring features of the French law and that is its specific exclusion of the SCF from any bankruptcy proceedings initiated at the level of its parent(s). The SCF is therefore less vulnerable to the default of its parent credit institution. 

The strategic importance of the SCF to the refinancing of its parent credit institution(s). 

This is notably different from Pfandbriefe where bondholders have an eventual direct recourse to non-eligible assets if cover assets are insufficient to cover their claims and become pari passu with other senior unsecured creditors. Along similar lines, in case of insolvency of an originating credit institution, asset replenishment and/ or substitution is no longer possible, which leaves the SCF fully exposed to asset quality deterioration and repayment, and ensuing cashflow mismatches. 

In 1981, the introduction of the Ley del Mercado Hipotecario (Mortgage Market Law) and its snbseqnent amendments allowed Cedulas Flipotecarias to be issued by almost any credit institution. 

Towards the end of 2001, the Irish Asset Covered Securities Act was passed allowing banks recognised by the Central Bank of Ireland as Designated Credit Institutions (DCIs) to issue Irish Asset Covered Securities. 

It should be noted that both in this general assessment and in the specific project evaluations the credit institutions would tend to focus on infrastructures in the same general categories as used by the IAEA (Section 4.1) and, of course, mainly from the economic and financial points of view.

Subsidies represent an often hidden financial benefit that is given to particular energy sources by government institutions in the form of tax credits, research and development (R rD) funding, limits on liability for certain kinds of accidents, military spending to protect Middle East oil supply lines, below-market leasing fees for use of public lands, and other... 

As a consequence of the unanticipated epidemic of phencyclidine (PCP) abuse in the late 1960s and early 1970s, biomedical and behavioral research on this drug expanded by the late 1970s (Balster and Pross 1978). Partly because of the improved public health response resulting from this research activity, the PCP epidemic has been stopped. The major credit for this rapid growth of PCP research should go to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, NI DA...

Haber s legacy, like his life, was a mix of high-minded science and nationalism gone tragically amiss. To obliterate Haber s achievements, the Nazis credited others with his nitrogen-fixation process and his chemical warfare work. Most horrifically, the Nazis used the pesticide Zyklon B—an offshoot of work begun in Haber s institute and supported by him—in concentration camp gas chambers. Loans are usually money borrowed from financial institutions. The prime interest rate is the minimum interest rate that leading banks charge their most credit-worthy customers on large loans. In 1973 this reached a high of 10% per year (Table 10-12). When it was 7.5% per year one big chemical company was reported to be paying 10% interest per year. Usually 0.5-2% more than the prime interest rate is a reasonable value.

Dubnium - the atomic number is 105 and the chemical symbol is Db. The name derives from the location of the Russian research center, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research lab in Dubna , Russia. The first synthesis of this element is jointly credited to the American scientific team at the University of California in Berkeley, California imder Albert Ghiorso and the Russian scientific team at the JINR (Joint Institute for Nuclear Reactions) lab in Dubna, Russia, imder Georgi N. Flerov in 1970. The longest half-life associated with this unstable element is 34 second Db.
