A Simple Model for The Reaction. Several models have be en developed for the self-condensation of A. The modeling and analysis should be carried out over a wide range of parameters (especially feed concentrations) for the different feedstocks and micro-organisms. With the basic parameters of the system obtained from the literature, it will be wise to build the model, develop an efficient computer simulation program for its solution, and investigate the expected behavior of this continuous system over a wide range of parameters. 

The ultrasound technique today can also be put up in 3D so that a fouling pattern of the membrane can be visualized continually and modeled through different statistical programs. This method is called ultrasonic time domain refiectometry and can be used for fouling and cleaning in situ (see Chapter 15). The system can also be used to study infrasonic sound (1-20 Hz) as waves in the study of flux characteristics like pulsing. 

Work continues on improving the efficiency of this process, such as for freeing the alkan olamine from heat-stable salts that can form (125). Formulations have been developed which inhibit degradation of mono- and diethanolamine in processing (126). Models (127), computer programs (128), and kinetics and enthalpies (129—136) have been developed to help determine equiUbria of the acid gas—alkanolamine—water system. Additional references relate to the use of tertiary alkan olamines, such as triethanolamine, for gas conditioning (137—139).
