Work continues on improving the efficiency of this process, such as for freeing the alkan olamine from heat-stable salts that can form (125). Formulations have been developed which inhibit degradation of mono- and diethanolamine in processing (126). Models (127), computer programs (128), and kinetics and enthalpies (129—136) have been developed to help determine equiUbria of the acid gas—alkanolamine—water system. Additional references relate to the use of tertiary alkan olamines, such as triethanolamine, for gas conditioning (137—139). [Pg.10]

Selection of Solubility Data Solubility values determine the liquid rate necessaiy for complete or economic solute recoveiy and so are essential to design. Equihbrium data generally will be found in one of three forms (1) solubility data expressed either as solubility in weight or mole percent or as Heniy s-law coefficients, (2) pure-component vapor pressures, or (3) equilibrium distribution coefficients (iC values). Data for specific systems may be found in Sec. 2 additional references to sources of data are presented in this section. [Pg.1351]

By using only a single reference electrode in the object to be protected, the potential can be determined only in the vicinity of this electrode and not in more remote areas. Section 3.3.1 together with Eq. (3-27) provides further explanation of this. To improve the current and potential distribution, the number and location of the anodes must suit the geometry of the object to be protected. Occasionally, additional reference electrodes are required for potential control [2]. The optimum nominal potential for potential control can be found by this method by considering remote IR errors. [Pg.449]

The following table lists the benzofuroxan derivatives, with their melting points, which the authors have been able to find in the published literature. No attempt has been made to provide an exhaustive reference list those quoted are intended to be selected for their preparative usefulness. Substituents in parentheses indicate that a ring CH group, rather than a H atom, is replaced. Additional references (144-149) not cited earlier in the text are to be found at the foot of this page. [Pg.31]
