System Configurations

Depending on the accessibility afforded by adjacent equipment, aged ladders and access platforms are often quoted as options by vendors. Square body configuration systems (plan view) have square body and plenum sections. Safety handrails surrounding the plenum are standard. Structural supports are usually optional, the height of which depends on system location. Figures 3 and 4 provide sketches of the two basic configurations.

As S88 systems are modular, there is a potential benefit for both new and particularly brown field facilities in terms of the delivery and installation of a partially configured system to the site to enable an early start to commissioning activities.

Details on system screen designs, report layouts, data dictionary with data flow diagram, system configurations, system security, file design, system limitations and memory requirements are laid out by system developers and are usually formally inspected with members of the development team. Major outputs of this phase are the internal design documents and prototypes. The design documents are based on the ERS and can be used as a source for the technical support documentation. 

The absolute configuration system stems from the Cahn-Ingold-Prelog priority rules, which allow a precise description of a stereocenter without using any reference compound. In fact the basis is now the atomic number of the stereocenter substituents. 

The above configurational system of nomenclature will be used throughout this review and, where necessary, appropriate conversions to it have been made. 

If the reaction centers are maximally separated, 5 = 1, whereas values of 8 < 1 reflect clustering of reaction centers. The parameter 5 is therefore a measure of the efficiency of a diffusion-reaction process for a nonrandom configured system, relative to the efficiency for a companion, fully symmetrized distribution of reaction centers.

NMR is also a non-destructive technique, and a small number of sequential applications have been published. Wilson and co-workers [147] used HPLC-DAD-NMR-MS to characterize plant extracts. Hanson and co-workers [148] used a similar approach to examine another plant extract of pharmaceutical interest. In both cases, the complementary nature of the data provided quantitation of both major and minor constituents and aided in the structural identification of several of the minor components, including chiral isomers. Lommen et al. [149] describe a similarly configured system. The DAD and MS outputs were used to detect peaks, which were then transferred for NMR. They examined glycosides found in apple peel. They identified six quercetin glycosides and two phloretin glycosides, with the NMR data providing the definitive conformational data to differentiate the isomers.

Importantly this pair of standards formally recognise for the first time the role of the healthcare organisation in formally managing clinical risk in HIT. Previous standards had focussed almost exclusively on the responsibilities of the manufacturer. With increasingly configurable systems being brought to market, it is not uncommon for the off-the-shelf HIT solution to be a toolkit ready for the healthcare...

It is also important to recognize that airflow measurement is prone to error due to the compressible nature of air. Even in a properly configured system, up to 5% or 10% error in airflow measurement may be reahzed. Although this may result in little if cmy consequence for work performed on a given coating unit, it can be important consideration for process scale-up or technical transfer.
