SAS provides excellent free unlimited technical support for all licensed SAS users. However, before involving SAS Technical Support, here is the process I would recommend when you have a SAS programming problem  

Take your problem to your company s SAS support personnel and resident SAS experts to see if they can help you. 

Search the SAS Technical Support knowledge base at http //support.sas.com/techsup/search/index.html or search SAS-L at http //groups.google.com/groups hl=en group=comp.soft-sys.sas to see if there is a known solution to your problem. 

I recommend that you contact SAS Technical Support last primarily so that SAS can continue to offer this excellent service for free.

You should read Technical Support Note TS-230 Dealing with Numeric Representation Error in SAS Applications to learn more about SAS floating-point numbers and storage precision in SAS. Another good resource for rounding issues is Ron Cody s SAS Functions by Example (SAS Press, 2004). In short, whenever you perform comparisons on numbers that are not integers, you should consider using the ROUND function.
