Flare Systems. There is a good chance that the operating company will not have anyone experienced in flare system design. For feasibility cost estimates, rough estimates can be made by comparison with existing plants or a vendor can be contacted for budget cost estimates for the flare stacks and associated knockout drum, burner tip, igniter, and molecular seal. [Pg.228]

The second option considered was use of interception wells. One- or two-pump wells could be constructed at calculated spacings to create a hydraulic trough parallel to the canal to intercept the product. Computers were first used in laboratories to calculate results and generate reports, often from an individual instrument. As automated analysers were developed, so the level of computerization increased and computers now play a major role in the modem laboratory. They are associated with both the analytical and organizational aspects and the term Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is often used to describe this overall function. Such systems are available that link the various operations associated with the production of a validated test result, from the receipt of the sample to the electronic transmission of the report to the initiator of the request, who may be at a site removed from the laboratory. Unfortunately these devices are quite sophisticated and expensive and they have not been used for behaviour research. In order to assess the quality of movements and human expression we developed a system which can be used even in labs with a low budget. We dispensed with real time operation capabilities and turned to the analysis of digitised video. These procedure is called Automatic Movie Analysis (AMA). Japan also operates the 4C/.f project which aimsto develop an optimum coal gasifier for fuel cells and the establishment of gas clean-up system for purification of coal gas to the acceptable level for utilisation for MCFC and SOFC. There are existing, depleted field, natural gas storage facilities at Karadagh and at Kalmas. Both facilities require significant investment to operate at their full potential. Studies have been conducted on these systems, and budget costs developed. [Pg.58]
