Behavior pinpointing

The reason for identifying the desired behavior is that it allows you to focus on the positive. Once you identify the desired behavior, you can plan ways to encourage and support the desired behavior. Pinpointing the undesired behavior also enables you to plan ways of discouraging such behaviors, but this is the traditional and less effective approach to safety. Establishing a preventative safety initiative requires that you know what behaviors you want to encourage and that you design an environment that provides positive support for those behaviors. [Pg.189]

The copper system appears to behave similarly to the silver system, and it may be used here in order to illustrate the idea of "selective, naked-cluster cryophotochemistry 150,151).
