Two-bearing screens, ot which there are rnanv types, have the same screen boclv as the four-bearing type but without the two outer bearings and the base frame. The gyi ating motion is caused bv eccentric weights on the shaft, and the screen itself is supported bv overhead cables or springs on the floor. [Pg.1773]

Base frame Three to four m/n (10 to 8 SWG) MS Sheet or MS channel of section ISMC-75 (75 mm wide) or ISMC-IOO (100 mm wide) depending upon the size and weight of the assembly as shown in Figure 13.32 and 13.48. [Pg.372]

The boilers are normally dispatched to site as a packaged unit with the shell and smokeboxes fully insulated, painted, and mounted on a base frame. The combustion appliance and control panel will be fitted together with the feedwater pump, water-level controls, gauges, and a full complement of boiler valves. Additional equipment may be specified and incorporated during construction. Larger boilers may have to have certain items fitted at site due to site restriction or weight. [Pg.351]

If the nuts do not loosen, metal fatigue may occur at the source of soft-foot. Cracks can develop in the support base/frame and, in extreme cases, the soft-foot may actually break off. [Pg.919]

At elevation, an electric motor driven pallet mover picks the module up at the base frame and sets it in its intended place. The weight of an individual SCR catalyst module is approximately 2000 pounds and therefore requires safe handling. Loading the SCR reactor is labor intensive. The use of a motorized lifting tool increases the efficiency of the crew to complete their task as shown in Figure 17.17. Before the use of this machine, loading a layer of 36-40 modules required 2 days. The pallet mover reduced this time in half. [Pg.337]

The air handling unit shall be made up of modular sections to suit each particular application. The sections shall be made with double skin isolated panels assembled on a galvanized steel base frame. The panels shall be constmcted designed with two galvanized steel sheets (minimum thickness 0.8 mm) and insulation (minimum thickness 50 mm). The insulation must be non-flammable and conform to hre class A1 (according to DIN 4102). The panels must be reinforced (fold in the sheet or integrated reinforcement) to resist deformations and vibrations. [Pg.44]

Mechanically Vibrated Screens The most versatile vibration for medium to coarse sizing is generally conceded to be the vertical circle produced by an eccentric or unbalanced shaft, but other types of vibration may be more suitable for certain screening operations, particularly in the finer sizes. One well-known/our-hearing mechanically vibrated screen, installed in an inclined position, is the Ty-Rock (Fig. 19-16). This is a balanced circle-throw machine mounted on a base frame, having a full-floating body mounted on shear rubber mounting units which absorb the shocks of heavy material and allow the shaft to revolve around its own natural center of rotation. [Pg.1532]

In a liquid crystal most properties are best expressed relative to a director based coordinate system. This is not a problem in a macroscopic system where the director is virtually fixed. However, it can be a problem in a small system such as a simulation cell where the director is constantly diffusing on the unit sphere. Thus a director based frame is not an inertial frame. Correction terms should therefore be added to time dependent properties. Time correlation functions with slowly decaying tails might also be affected by the director reorientation. Transport coefficient obtained from them will consequently be incorrect. When NEMD-simulation algorithms are applied, the fictitious external field exerts a torque that constantly twists the director, which could make it impossible to reach a steady state. [Pg.334]

Where appropriate it is prudent to describe or list what is not included in the scope of supply. This will minimise misunderstandings at a later stage when quotations are being compared, e.g. for the above example, gearbox, prime mover, base frame or skid assembly. [Pg.471]

A hydraulic piston, B hydraulic system, C base frame, D receiver,... [Pg.289]

The type of base frame is determined by the design of the piston extruder. The loads exerted on the base frame are mainly of a static nature and are governed by the weight of the components, especially that of the hydraulic cylinder and that of the receiver, moreover by the position of the press frame with the resulting difference in load situations for the base frame and foundation. [Pg.290]

Dynamic loads are only experienced during tilting of the press frame and receiver, when swivel forces are transmitted into the base frame via the tilting cylinder. [Pg.291]

With common sizes of piston extruder the hydraulic unit is integral to the base frame, whereas very large size piston extruders often feature the hydraulic unit installed in a separate room, both for reasons of space and reduction of the noise level. [Pg.291]

A correspondingly generous dimensioning of the press frame as well as of the pivotal points of the hydraulic cylinder on the one hand, and of the receiver fixed to the base frame on the other, is a prerequisite to ensure a long lifetime of the piston extruder. [Pg.291]

The electrical hardware (contactors, relays, voltage supply, etc.) is incorporated in the switch cabinet which is placed on the base frame. [Pg.293]

It is also found that, rather than a separate circulation tank for the oleum, an extension of the lower boot of the oleum tower with a submerged type circulation pump is safer and easier to operate. Appropriate sealing at the pump base frame prevents any escape of acidic vapors from the tank. [Pg.23]

Anticorrosive paint not applied on the bottom side of equipment before placing them on the I-beams/base frames. [Pg.69]

For a simple rectangular pinned base frame made of shear deformable members joined together by semi-rigid connections with a linear moment-rotation characteristic, it is possible to develop simple closed-form expressions for the deformations at points of particular interest, e.g. midspan deflection (wj and joint rotations. Such expressions have been derived assuming that the beam (span=b) and columns (height=a) are made of the same sections. For example, the expression for the mid-span deflection of the beam when the frame is loaded in a flexural mode is as follows ... [Pg.634]
