This article reports on a full-scale study of the incineration of plasties with ordinary municipal waste, conducted in Germany by APME. The results, which indicate that burning waste plastics does less damage to the environment than other waste disposal methods, are commented upon by the plastics industry, and environmentalists.

As to the actual lab facilities, the QAU would determine if there is adequate separation of activities, if the lab is neat and clean, if the waste disposal methods are adequate, and if the SOPs are current with respect to the work being performed.
