Most LNG vehicles provide a manifold to capture natural gas vented from the LNG tank and direct it to a safe location outside of the vehicle, usually near the top of the vehicle where the vented natural gas will rise and dissipate safely. For vehicle maintenance facilities, exhaust systems with explosion-proof blowers and motors should be provided. Description Parking on or partially on a travel lane creates a hazard. This is especially true at night. On congested metropolitan streets, drivers expect to see parked vehicles in their lane and are usually ready to react and avoid them. On rural and high-speed roads, drivers do not expect to see vehicles parked in their lane. Their attention level may be lower and they may not be able to react quickly enough to avoid a collision. 

The use of hazardous states was not essential, but largely a matter of convenience, depending on which parameters were best estimated by analytical methods. For a few hazards, it seemed equally reasonable to score them as hazardous states or hazardous events. In some cases, the hazard identification process had generated two hazards that combined to produce an accident. The subjects drove from BASt facilities to exit Refrath on the motorway A4, followed the motorway towards Olpe until exit Overath, and then returned to exit Refrath.
