The copy-based version of schema evolution is performed using the DBMS. XMLSCHEMA. copyEvolve stored procedure. Species File is a collection of programs that provides access to, and manipulation of, taxonomic information stored in multiple databases. Each database provides detailed information about taxa contained within the scope of the apex taxon and is coupled to a website that provides the means to interact with and modify information held within the database. Central to Species File functions is the means to store nomenclatural information in a way that is fully compliant with the codes of zoological nomenclature. In normal practice, inhibitors such as hydroquinone (HQ) [123-31 -9] or the monomethyl ether of hydroquinone (MEHQ) [150-76-5] are added to acrylic monomers to stabilize them during shipment and storage. Uninhibited acrylic monomers should be used prompdy or stored at 10°C or below for no longer than a few weeks. Improperly iahibited monomers have the potential for violent polymerizations. HQ and MEHQ require the presence of oxygen to be effective inhibitors therefore, these monomers should be stored in contact with air and not under inert atmosphere. Because of the low concentration of inhibitors present in most commercial grades of acrylic monomers (generally less than 100 ppm), removal before use is not normally required. One report (13) describes the procedure for spinning dry asymmetric ceUulose acetate fiber with a bore skin. Such fibers are spun in a modified dry-spinning process in which a volatile Uquid (methyl formate) is used as the ceUulose acetate solvent. The bore coagulating Uquid is isopropyl alcohol, which is subsequentiy removed. The advantages of these dry fibers over most ceUulose acetate membranes are that they can be stored dry, they are wet-dry reversible, they can be sterilized and packed dry, and they are ready for use without removal of preservatives. [Pg.153]
