As a result of the sharp trcinsition to a market economy, the legal system for drug control and supply is no longer applicable today. There has been demand for new regulatory acts such as the Law on Medicines which will fill a much needed void since no uniform state policy exists either for drug supply to consumers, or for control over the drug development industry.
