The System of accreditation is a mechanism that ensures official recognition that calibration or testing laboratory has right to perform testing of measuring devices, specific testing or specific types of testing. 

The present paper is organized as follows In a first step, the derivation of QCMD and related models is reviewed in the framework of the semiclassical approach, 2. This approach, however, does not reveal the close connection between the QCMD and BO models. For establishing this connection, the BO model is shown to be the adiabatic limit of both, QD and QCMD, 3. Since the BO model is well-known to fail at energy level crossings, we have to discuss the influence of such crossings on QCMD-like models, too. This is done by the means of a relatively simple test system for a specific type of such a crossing where non-adiabatic excitations take place, 4. Here, all models so far discussed fail. Finally, we suggest a modification of the QCMD system to overcome this failure.

Personnel performing examinations other than visual shall be qualified in accordance with applicable portions of SNT TC-IA, Recommended Practice for Nondestructive Testing Personnel Qualification and Ceitification. Procedures shall be qualified as required in Par. T-150, Art. 1, Sec. Vof the ASME Code. Limitations on imperfections shall be in accordance with the engineering design but shall at least meet the requirements of the code (see Tables 10-58 and 10-59) for the specific type of examination. Repairs shall be made as applicable.

Testing for steam purity measures the degree of carryover (typically indicated by an increase in electrical conductivity) and provides a starting point for evaluations into specific types of contaminants such as iron, silica, and sodium.

When all equipment has been listed, the total number of running feet needed can be added up. How much more will be required This will vary from one laboratory to another. In an industrial laboratory where both routine testing and product development work are to be performed, this figure can safely be multiplied by four for a realistic estimate. In some laboratories used exclusively for specific types of work with no other types contemplated, this figure may be lower. It should be kept in mind, however, that expanding an existing laboratory is an extremely expensive... 

The previous sections have summarized the basic techniques available for searching chemical databases for specific types of query. Another important database application is compound selection, the ability to select a subset of a database for submission to a biological testing program. The selection procedure can be applied to in-house databases, to externally available compound collections, or to virtual libraries, that is, sets of compounds that could potentially be synthesized. 

The diagnosis of a specific type of porphyria can generally be established by consideration of the chnical and family history, the physical examination, and appropriate laboratory tests. The major findings in the six principal types of porphyria are listed in Table 32-2. 

There are important instructions in each section in the series relative to specific types of tests. However, four sections of the series provide particularly significant instructions relative to field crop residue trials and a short summary of their content is listed below. 

Diagnosing viral hepatitis may be difficult because most infected individuals are asymptomatic. Because symptoms cannot identify the specific type of hepatitis, laboratory serologies must be obtained (Table 21-2). In addition, liver function tests may be obtained to assess the extent of cholestatic and hepatocellular injury. However, the definitive test to determine the amount of damage and inflammation of hepatic cells is a liver biopsy. 

Specific explosibility tests are discussed in this section. It is emphasized that detonation tests in particular and a number of deflagration tests are of the type that must be run by experts in specialized facilities. 

Type of Container to Be Used. The specific type of contained used to collect blood or urine samples is sometimes indicated in a protocol, especially if a special anticoagulant or additive is required or if other specific conditions of sample collection and handling are required. It is generally not necessary to provide this information for commonly requested laboratory tests.
