Shims shall not be used under the pump. All pads for drive train components shall be machined to allow for the installation of shims at least 3mm (0,12 in) thick under each component. If the vendor mounts the components, a set of stainless steel shims at least 3 mm (0,12 in) thick shall be furnished. Shim packs shall not be thicker than 13 mm (0,5 in) nor contain more than 5 shims. All shim packs shall straddle the hold down bolts and vertical jackscrews and extend at least 5 mm (1/4 in) beyond the outer edges of the equipment feet. If the vendor does not mount the components, the pads shall not be drilled, and shims shall not be provided. [Pg.74]

Sultana et al. [88] developed a reversed-phase HPLC method for the simultaneous determination of omeprazole in Risek capsules. Omeprazole and the internal standard, diazepam, were separated by Shim-pack CLC-ODS (0.4 x 25 cm, 5 m) column. The mobile phase was methanol-water (80 20), pumped isocratically at ambient temperature. Analysis was run at a flow-rate of 1 ml/min at a detection wavelength of 302 nm. The method was specific and sensitive with a detection limit of 3.5 ng/ml at a signal-to-noise ratio of 4 1. The limit of quantification was set at 6.25 ng/ml. The calibration curve was linear over a concentration range of 6.25—1280 ng/ml. Precision and accuracy, demonstrated by within-day, between-day assay, and interoperator assays were lower than 10%. [Pg.223]

Erturk et al. [40] determined vigabatrin in human plasma and urine by HPLC after derivatization with 4-chloro-7-nitrobenzofurazan with fluorescence detection at 520 nm with excitation at 460 nm. A column (20 cm x 3.9 mm) of Shim-Pack Cig (5 /tm) with a mixture of 10 mM phosphoric acid-acetonitrile (60 40) as a mobile phase (flow rate 1.0 ml/ min) was used. The assay was rectilinear over the concentration range of 2.0-20.0 fig/ml for plasma and 1.0-15.0 yg/ml for urine. The lower limit of detection and the lower limit of quantification for vigabatrin were 0.1 and 0.2 /ig/ml, respectively, in plasma and urine. Both the within-day and day-to-day reproducibilities and accuracies were less than 5.46% and 1.6%, respectively. [Pg.336]

Cetin and Atmaca [41] reported HPLC analysis of vigabatrin in tablets by precolumn derivatization with l,2-naphthoquinone-4-sulfonic acid sodium salt and detected at 451 nm. Separation was achieved on a Shim-Pack CLS-ODS (5 /im) column (25 cm x 4 mm) with a mixture of 10 mM phosphoric acid-acetonitrile (75 25) as a mobile phase (flow rate... [Pg.336]

Another LC-APCI-MS method has been developed and validated by Zhang et al. for the identification and quantification of zaleplon in human plasma using estazolam as an IS. After the addition of estazolam and 2.0 M sodium hydroxide solution, plasma samples were extracted with ethyl acetate and then the organic layer was evaporated to dryness. The reconstituted solution of the residue was injected onto a prepacked Shim-pack VP-ODS C18 (250 mm x 2.0 mm i.d.) column and chromatographed with a mobile phase comprised methanol-water (70 30) at a flowrate of 0.2 ml/min. [Pg.361]

Jain and Jain reported a HPLC method for the microquantification of nimodipine in intravenous infusion fluids [34]. A column (5 cm x 4.6 mm i.d.) of Shim-pack FLC-ODS was eluted with aqueous 75% methanol as the mobile phase (flow rate of 1 mL/min). Detection was effected at 238 nm. The calibration graph was linear over the range of 5-25 pg/mL, and recoveries were from 98.31 to 100.6%. [Pg.366]

The major constituents of the plant Ambrosia maritima L. were isolated using TLC and identified by IR and GC-MS. From HPLC screening, ambrosin and damsin were detected at high levels in the leaves and flowers, while stems and seeds contained only traces. Sesquiterpenes from Aucklandia lappa (Decne.) were determined by HPLC. A Shim-pack CLC-ODS column (6.0 x 150 mm) was used as separation column, Me0H-H20 (65 35) as mobile phase, and the detection wavelength was 225 nm. [Pg.1594]

In a typical experiment, 35 ml of aqueous solution into which both CO2 and NH3 or ammonium carbonate had been dissolved (pH = 8.9) was sealed in a quartz ampule and irradiated at 90 °C for 100 hr. The resulting solution was heated at 90 °C to dryness under the reduced pressure in order to remove the remaining NH3 or ammonium carbonate and the residue (white) was hydrolyzed at 105 °C for 48 hr in 6 M HCl. After evaporating the HCl solution at 90 °C to dryness, the residue was dissolved with 10 ml of water. Amino acids in the solution were separated by HPLC (SCL-6A, product of Shimadzu Co.) equipped with a column of cation exchange resin (Shim-pack 1SC-07/S1504L1, a product of Shimadzu Co.) and detected based on the ninhydrin reaction [13]. Nucleic acid bases and organic acids such as oxalic and oxamic acids were separated by HPLC with an CDS reversed phase column (Shim-pack CLC-ODS) and detected spectrophotometrically. [Pg.190]

Shims are used to provide precise leveling of the vessel. Shim packs may be grouted into the foundation in lieu of sole plates but this practice is unusual. Typically, shims are used on top of the sole plates for the leveling operation. Special shims may be required for unique applications such as a large vessel supported on a braced frame structure with minimal contact/bearing at each support... [Pg.661]

Columns shall be set on level finished floors, pre-grouted leveling plates, leveling nuts, or shim packs which are adequate to transfer the construction loads. [Pg.661]
